Practice reports Euros

Katerina Mrazkova by herself on practice ice at IceSheff. She’s fab! Excellent solo dance FD run through.

Taschlers’ twizzles a bit messy but otherwise looking sharp.

Turkkila/Versluis didn’t do much on practice but what they did looked good.

Fear/Gibson no show. James Hernandez looks like his shoulder is still bothering him. :(

I liked Shilling/Baeten’s Stromae FD, which I hadn’t seen before.

Verhaegh/van Geffen have the ice to themselves in Group 3. Dramatic lifts, as always.

They played Guignard/Fabbri’s music and I think they may have had a slight reedit but it’s still BSB.

Looks like Candi TG on the panel again. I didn’t recognise the other two women with her.

Ritter/Brykalov a pleasant surprise - they hit some really nice positions in their FD. Adrian Diaz here for IAMO.

Smart/Dieck also FD runthrough, looking in control of their skating and performing all out, but slow. Skipped the twizzles in the runthrough and she biffed them later.

Gleb Smolkin has a new FD shirt with a plunging V. Still think this FD is a great vehicle for them. Eteri in the house.

JvR/S spent a long time talking at the boards and then left before their music was played. Hope they’re alright.

Demougeot/LeMercier FD runthrough a bit underwhelming but elements looked good when they were running them separately.

Smooth skating and quiet blades from Lopareva/Brissaud but I still don’t like this FD as much as I was hoping to.

This group does Larson/Kapran’s fundamentals no favours but they are fun and he has charisma. Big cheer for the worm.

Danijil Szemko in a little black tank. :swoon: He’s just got that intangible it factor and sure knows how to work an audience. Be My Lover indeed. Nice skating skills too.

Ichilov/NosoSib working well together, you wouldn’t know the partnership is so new.

Allison Reed getting into the spirit of IceSheff in Chique Sport.

Reitan/Majorov look fully recovered from her injury. Good speed and lifts.

Samoilov wearing some kind of back support, but seemed to be jumping fine; tidy jump technique with good height. Marked LP runthrough, dramatic knee slide fall.

Vasiljevs - lots of pops and a couple of splatty falls. First two jumping passes clean in SP runthrough.

Younger Selevbro messy, marked LP runthrough. Elder Selevbro still en route from St Louis.

Jari Kessler skating very well. Looked like he was having some issues with his boots though.

Thank you for the practice reports! I'm hoping that Livia Kaiser is looking better and can hopefully achieve the Swiss score minimum to secure her Olympic spot!
She was struggling with jumps earlier in the practice but her run through was better. Womens practice in the main arena is about halfway through, Kimmie and Leona are standouts so far for me. The Italians are all looking fierce as well.

Met/Beru were a no show for pairs this morning. Pavlova/Sviatchenko were utterly charming, I've not always taken to them before but now converted! Hase/Volodin looked very strong and composed, and Anastasia and Luke unsurprisingly got the biggest cheer of the day but were calm under pressure. Holichenko was skating on her own, I hope Darenskyi isn't ill/injured.

Sorry my reports are mostly vibe based!

we are thankful for everything! Thank you for the great report!

Aymoz is looking great! Think I only saw one step out, and everything else is sublime. Whatever happens later in the week, very glad to have seen that practice.

Ed Appleby wearing his Olympic team T-shirt but not doing much. I do think his skating skills and posture have improved since moving to Swindon, but the jumps :fragile:

Lots of doubles from Lewton Brain too.

Petrokina the SP covere as much ice as Kim's (aka 120m) but overall lovely. 2a 3/3t she did a 3rd jump fine, only saw the landing. For the SP she seems to be in a good shape

Careful, don't jinx Kevin!

Lisovskaya keeps falling from a 3f attempts; Petrokina looks in pain when attempting a jump. Lanbebauer's jumps are enormous just don't go anywhere. am sure there was a skate by both French but I missed it fighting with the internet and the computer

Lagenbauer's music is kinda a female emo song that sounds really nice after all the strong women ballads. Am not sure what is Lisovskaya wearing - ti's like a swimming suit and on top of that nothing with long sleeves. Looks like she took 2 normal shirts, scissors and made it into well.. whatever it is.

Yes there seems a lot of technical and music issues this afternoon, hopefully all ironed out before tomorrow! There's also been a few :yikes: near misses on the ice, mostly involving Maria Seniuk. Either she has very poor situational awareness or just genuinely doesn't care who she takes out...

ETA The current group (Estonia and France) are also getting a bit close for comfort at times 😬

I wouldn't worry. Except for Schild they are dead slow anyway. How much damage can you do going 5kmh?

Grassl's music, so we get to enjoy the guys just jumping. Memola's 3a has a weird entry, but then the exit is gorgeous (he bends backwards and uses his hands to depict a something. Quite a difference from Egadze who landed and just walked away from the jump)
