LoPinto & Brooks both had great presentation much more in the vein of what I wish Kirk had done this season. Really appreciating the performance ability of many of these junior men!

Choreo by ice dancers tends to really hit for me, I find the programs to be more nuanced and have a wider variety of steps. Bummed about the 3a for Caleb, but he's a really exciting skater to watch grow, and hope he scores well.

What a shame. He nailed it in the warm up. I've seen worse 3A debuts, at least it was fully rotated.

On replay it was fully rotated, I just think he landed a bit back on his blade in a way he couldn't hold on to. But getting the rotation is huge and getting the reps in competition is crucial.

Of the men I was home in time to see, I could watch Azadpour and Farrington for days. Beautiful 3A from Blackwell, but not much else was beautiful.

The efficiency of Farrington's steps is incredible. He's like a loom weaving a tapestry, effortlessly maintaining momentum from step to step. He's really an exception talent.

And my guess is that they'll send Lucius plus whoever the junior champion ends up being. They could theoretically send Jacob, but he hasn't been running a Junior FS all season.

I feel like it could also depend on how Jacob does. If he places high enough (top 6) to go to Four Continents, then I agree it would make sense to send the junior champ. However if he finishes 7th or lower, USFS might want to give him something and thus send him to junior worlds (a bit like Elyce last year). How everyone actually performs will likely be an important factor too. Also if Jacob places ahead of Lucius, it would be tough to give him nothing.

Agreed. I think the biggest issue is that Patrick is so inconsistent and Caleb doesn't have a solid 3A yet. They are all solid skaters but it's a roll of the dice with any combination of them being sent to Jr Worlds as to how they'll fare.
