A French girl in France skating to a french song in English. Make it make sence
I was about to post the same thing. The whole time I was like "I know this song, what is it? what is it? Oh that's right, it's Ne Me Quittes Pas, wait why is a French skater using an English version of this song?"

Flip should and usually does get the full 'e' so massive points lost there, Lutz rotation questionable. Second half of the program was really just a lot of stroking to prep for the jumps.

Nicole Bobek's book just came out and it reminds me how she (and Tanja Szewczenko IIRC, @Private Citizen would remember) had Titanic programs that never saw the light of day in 1999.

Intrusive thoughts during this program:
  • There are plenty of iconic costumes from Titanic to play off of, why such a generic dress?
  • I wonder how Rose’s husband feels when she’s in heaven with Jack instead of him
  • Jack 100% would have ghosted Rose upon landing and debarkment, had there been no iceberg
  • No voiceovers :-(
  • Remember how there were old ladies that watched Titanic in theaters at least weekly for a year.

Serna's basics, choreography, posture, and finish are all so much better than Lorine Schild but she needs to deliver big time every time-- and she's not.

That said, quite nice program IMO.

Her jumps have so much height that often she can't control the landings, and doesn't get the free leg back fast enough to stop from stepping/spinning out.

-1.00 = Time Violation
107.73 = 2nd Place
164.79 = 2nd Place
