The 2024-25 Awards Season Thread

I don't have Apple + so I haven't seen most of these winners. Not that I need to sit on my tail watching more TV.

I canceled my Apple+ subscription because I found that I just wasn't watching their shows very much. I watched a few episodes of The Studio, Shrinking, and Severance, but couldn't get into them. I did like Ted Lasso and Drops of God.

Thank you CBS for that lovely pan to the crowd so I could see Eric Christian Olson looking very spiffy in his seat. :swoon:

I think he said he wasn’t doing anything and just took a step 🙈

I am so verklempt for Jeff Hiller! I can’t believe he won over all the powerhouses. He gave so much heart to Somebody Somewhere.
I haven't seen Somebody Somewhere but he's been in so many other shows I've seen in so many different kinds of roles so I was happy to see him win just on principle. He's always fun to see in shows.
Lead Actress in a Limited Series, Anthology, or Movie: Cristin Milioti, The Penguin
I was waiting all night for this and I am so very happy right now. She was amazing in The Penguin and for as good as Colin Farrell was, and he was fantastic, it would not have worked as well without her.

I wonder if their acceptance speech counts against the money total, LOL  (Seriously, I hope not....I mean, they knew this award was coming so they should be allowed to say their thanks. :) )
