Can someone technical identify why Kaiya’s combo spin was level 1?

For Schizas, it's less the clearance issue than being compared to Higuchi's magical skate that she ought to worry about. :slinkaway
I feel the need to defend Maddie here.

1) Wakaba's TLK is a FS while Maddie's is a SP, so the music edit & program requirements are vastly different.

2) Maddie's costume is fabulous in every way for the music & flatters her. I've said all season that it's one of my fave women's costumes.

3) This is a great vehicle for Maddie when clean - probably the best program in her career and quite enjoyable, even in comparison to Wakaba.

4) There are precious few TLK programs that ever wind up being memorable and while I don't feel much sentiment about the one time Wakaba managed to skate her TLK program cleanly & well, I think there is room for Maddie's TLK to be counted as one of the best/most memorable ones (the only other TLK programs I would put in that group with Higuchi are Fear/Gibson's FD and Denney/Frazier's FS).

Everyone's mileage may vary, but I'm in the camp with those who hope Maddie can keep her TLK program for next season and don't think there is much worry about how it compares to Wakaba's.

Guessing she was going for:
  • Change of edge on the camel (I'm guessing they think she did not hold the camel for two revolutions before changing edge?)
  • Difficult variation of upright spin
  • Jumped change over (not jumped enough)
  • Difficult variation of back sit (probably not low enough and/or held for two revs completely in position)

Other thoughts? It was initially called as L2, and I had to watch it three times before developing the hypothesis that the change of edge (clearly executed) may not have counted because she didn't hold the initial edge long enough before the change. The windmill entry, which is no longer a feature, made her wobbly.

I'm fairly confident that the last two features didn't count.
