2023-24 Challenger Series

Yeah, once again, your outrage is misplaced and your assumption is way off-base. The ISU is not doing much of anything with their planned channel, and the organizing committees/Federations are the ones setting the pricing for filming and streaming.

I'm still in favor of an ISU streaming channel all in one place to come about. I'd gladly pay as much as I did for IceNetwork and then Sports Gold, and I already pay year-round for Peacock as it is.

I wish that it all came on Peacock, if being sold. One place to pay.

I can understand paid live-streaming to raise some further money for the organization.
However, really, Challenger Senior events should have the live scoring page working. Nebelhorn Trophy had only the early groups of Pairs competition with the result page being updated.

And is there an online schedule for Nepela? The thing linked as a schedule on the ISU page isn't one, and the streaming page only gives the time of the start of the streaming day.

This is all I’ve got. I had to use it to negotiate carving out time to at least watch dance next weekend, what a lineup. It IS inconvenient for me to rule out socializing every Friday and Saturday evening due to skating so I compromise on everything but dance.

A paid YouTube channel would be fine by me.
I genuinely feel this is the best solution, and if it's made global, then the currently region-blocked audience can enjoy the content without paying for an additional VPN. Money straight to the ISU. I've brought up the paid subscription on YT as a solution before.

I assume this (competing at Nepela) means Grassl has not been charged by NADO Italia for an Antidoping Rule Violation.
But then one must wonder why he withdrew from every other CS apart from this one, I guess.

Not that last second withdrawals don't happen, and not that CS events matter more than the rest of the season's major events, but still.

Like last year, Finlandia Trophy's livestream & replays for people outside of Finland will be on SolidSport -- All Access Pass (3 days) is 24.9 EUR: https://solidsport.com/skatingfinland/all_access

By Day is 10.9 EUR (link to the liveestream for Friday, Oct. 6): https://solidsport.com/skatingfinland/watch/finlandia-trophy-espoo-8-10-2023

I'm so pleased! I just looked at the schedule and they're doing a Fri-Sat-Sun competition schedule, which makes it much more worth my time/money to pay for the stream (okay, I've paid for all of them so far and Finlandia will be no different, lol). But, suffice it to say, I'll be up and at 'em for the pairs and most of the men's SPs on Friday!

Davis/Smolkin are out, looks like. (They had been added when Harris/Chan withdrew.) Too bad, we don't get Nepotism Lake two weeks in a row.
They were added and WD almost immediately - within a week of being added, so I think they were sort of hedging their bets and figuring out where to compete. They probably will win Budapest, but that's more a matter of most of the teams with two GPs or one of the North American GPs are skipping Budapest (don't blame them, really).

I'm guessing DavSmo next show up at Warsaw Cup and then either Santa Claus Cup or Golden Spin.
