The situation has been upgraded

I messaged him on the socials and told him he was sometimes tied for the win for the porn star of the year award and sometimes almost winning but not quite. And that I would come to Toronto and present him with the award. And his response to me was

” thanks for vouching for me“



loved it. Anyways wished him well at the final as I believe he is already there

I don't really agree with this, to be honest-- without turning it into a whole back and forth.

Paul and many other skaters are very active on their open-access social media accounts, and he posts plenty of stories and modeling photos away from the ice. Should no one follow him and/or comment on anything he posts or reply to his stories or message him at all? If they don't want engagement with fans, they can go the Hanyu route and stay off of social media or perhaps make their profiles private. But for a skater like Paul, his effort is completely the opposite of that and has 22x the amount of followers as he does people he follows.

If ANL said 'porn star' by accident, welp that's that-- but Paul also accepted the message from his filtered folder and replied, which he could've left on ignore. But FSU Trash Can is also open access and he can just look here if he really is intrigued-- I certainly know some skaters are very well aware of everything being said on the open parts of the board.

ETA- look at any modeling pic he's posted and some of the comments he gets there, from people he's certainly not following. He even likes such comments.

Which I think just adds to my idea that we need a run-off election - how is this going to be decided with the winner getting a third of the vote.

First place either by majority or plurality has always been the name of the game thus far. Maybe we can implement it for next year after a proposal and notice and comment period. It seems wrong to change the system in the middle of the vote that is already underway.
