Uhm - no offense but Nikolaj Soerensen hasn't been found guilty of anything yet. Isn't it a bit premature to erase him from the winners list?

We have Yagudin and Joubert, as well as Maxim Staviski who killed someone and severely disabled another while driving drunk. Maybe it shouldn't be too surprising if someone labeled porny skater of the year turns out to be porny IRL.

Right? Joubert has been disciplined by the FFSG for abusive coaching practices. That seems like a far more substantive reason to remove him from the PSOTY ranks than one allegation and some people online saying that Soerensen "is not a good guy."

And 'nuff said about Staviski.

Yags I have less issue with leaving on the list - he might be a chauvinist and a bigot but, as far as I know, he hasn't broken the law. We don't have to like his opinions but he's nowhere near the level of Staviski, Joubert or even Soerensen.

I think what bothers me is moving someone else up to fill the "title." I'd rather we give him (and Joubert & Staviski) the "vacated" Tonya Harding title treatment. We should at least be truthful with ourselves that, yeah, we voted for these scumbags, and they later proved to be unworthy recipients of the silly, little FSU honor.
