I would say the juniors have an even tougher field were more than 8 skaters at least have ultra C

Will it be an All Sofia Podium ?
Will one of Plushenkos skaters make the podium

Team TUT: Akatieva, Petrosyan Dvoeglazova
Team ANGELS OF PLUSH: Zhilina, Muravyeva, Titova, Zinina
Team Davydov: Samodelkina

Only tiny Adelia can break up a Sofia Sofia Sofia podium..

But on 2nd thought there were a couple of others who can sneak onto the podium too.

SA hasnt skated competitively for 3 and a half months. Maybe longer for vika. What kind of form can they possibly have?

When is the junior comp and will it be on channel one YouTube?

A podium without Akatyeva will be an upset, the junior ladies have now upped their content and can be equal technically with Akatyeva
Petrosyan has 4 Lo, Murayvea has 3A, 4S, Samodelkina has 4Lo, 4S, 4Lz, 4T 3A
even 12 year olds like Titova, Dvoeglazova has 3A and Quads

Politcally it makes sense to have Akatyeva out of podium as she will still be in juniors again next year
while skaters like Muravyeva, Zinina, Samodlekina, Petrosyan have a chance to transition to seniors even if any minimum age change is applied.

For Podium I will go with politics: Petrosyan, Muravyeva, Samodelkina
major spoiler: Titova

they should underscore Akatyeva, frankly they don't need her, there are other russian skaters as good as her , shes not even a complete skater. Look at Valieva she is miles ahead artistically than Akatieva even if Valieva is just a year older.

The fed kept Akatieva out of senior nationals not to push KV Sasha or Anna down another notch. While she would not have beaten Valieva she would have beaten sasha and Anna making them weaker looking olympians. So the Russian federation made up this age rule. Anna won her 1st senior Russian nationals at an age where she was about 5 months younger than SA would have been at this senior nationals. It's pretty repulsive that they did that to this phenomenal Junior. But it's part for the course of the Russian figure skating federation they do what they want when they want and change the rules as they see fit.. This is the same federation that allowed Adelina to win senior Russian nationals at 12. ;)

And those 3 junior girls who are coming on strong like Petro Sofia and and Sofiia always make as many or more mistakes than SA does.

This junior Russian nationals should be fabulous but but SA has not skated in competition in 3 and a 1/2 months. There is no telling how rusty she can be. Others have closed the gap on her for sure. And those others who you think will be seniors next season so they will be propped up with this junior Russian nationals will have to as senior's deal with Aliona Dasha Maya Kamila Anna Sasha Liza and Ksenia. That's 8 senior Russian ladies. I can only see any of those juniors turning senior and going past Ksenia. Is the fabulous junior girls made a couple or a few of the Russian senior ladies to retire the next year or so. How likely is that? Not likely.

Im saying Sofia A, still has another full junior year, it sucks to be her date of birth but thats the rule as per ISU.
politically Sofia S, Sofia M, Petrosyan and Zinina need the WS and better PB score to secure a senior GP

If They made the so called new rule in russian nationals that you must be 14
then what makes you think they cant underscore Sofia A ? Akatieva also has never landed in both clean quad jumps and triple axel she can be the same as Samodelkina.

Politically, It will not hurt to UNDERSCORE Akatieva to protect senior transition skaters like Samodelkina, Muravieva, Petrosyan

Underscoring SA will not happen. But SM and Samo and Petro are more equipped to give her a good battle now whereas in the past year or 2 they had very little to no chance against her.

The July 1st rule like the ISU sucks it is always sucked and it is has always damaged careers.
It does no good only harm to those scales born after July 1st. I know it's the start of the next season but just when they raise the age limit to 16 or 17 they should leave it ar16 or 17 with no July 1st cut off.

I also hope they somehow phase in the increased age limit. And if they increase the age limit in the women a year or 2 shouldn't they do the same for the boys and men who beat up their bodies even more than the women do? I mean plushy and yags both have hardware stores in their backs for life! :(

So its the three Sofias going to Sofia, you cant make this up :p

all three Sophia under different schools and coaches, is this the first time since Lipnitskaya Tutberidze gets to send only 1 skater to junior worlds ? looks like next quad will be a Tutberidze-Plusehnko-Davydov school rivalries

Plushenko has more junior skaters in the pipeline but they are inconsistent, if he had foresight
he would hire a psychologist in his team.
