So with th third guy who filmed, followed him, tried to run him off the road etc .. in Canada he would never have been charged with murder. Maybe accessory etc.

Yes, the review was underway before the name was released.

I read that after being released on bail in Milwaukee County, he was immediately taken into custody by neighboring Waukesha County for a bench warrant on a paternity case. I wonder if there was a miscommunication and Milwaukee thought it was a different type of matter, one where he would be held. He had a 2nd felony pending at the same time (fight with nephew).

I live about 30 minutes away from Waukesha. There have been reports that other small towns in our area have canceled their parades after this. I thought that was silly and it overreaction, it made me sad that kids wouldn't get their parades. But now that I'm watching the Macy's parade on CBS, it's very gut wrenching to watch the smiling faces of the marching band kids.

A former co-worker's daughter was performing in the troop that was hit. She is safe, but one of her friends is most likely permanently disabled. That is the reality for most of the children still in ICU.

A lot of fundraising efforts are underway because so many of these people will need long-term care.

Very, very devastating. Is there even an appropriate word?

I admit in my city (Canada) I immediately thought of our parades. Downtown they block off streets but parades still have to enter and exit. In my end of town they have a parade .. certain streets blocked off. I know that it would be horrific for everyone if something like this happened. I can understand why the other parades had to be cancelled ?,

Our PD sent out a Press release to everyone they could to explain all the things they do when there is a large gathering so this won't happen. I thought that was weird.
