The first group of men is warming up and we are back to the blurry view on the ISU/Eurovision stream :(
I love the Eurovision stream! I did have to reduce it from HD but now it works nicely.

I know people like to say that Adam's skating takes after his coach, but Joubert never got an L4 on any step sequence that I'm aware of.

But even Ashley Wagner got L4 from time to time, so... ;)
But yes, level conscious is all good.

Anyone in Canada able to get the CBC player to stream? I'm getting "cannot play this media in your browser, retry".

CBC is apparently not showing the short programs - they changed their schedule. I have been watching on the ISU (Eurovision) channel https://www.eurovisionsports.tv/isu/figure-skating/live.html?id=7

It has been blurry on the high def (default) setting but improves if you take it down to a lower setting.

Per Twitter the ISU is now aware of the problem and is contacting the provider....

I love Grassl if for no other reason he made Rizzo get his act together. Italy has a nice future for its men's skating. Good since without Kostner, the ladies are in pitiful shape. As usual. Vale could come back and skate singles and go to the Olympics if she wants.

Not a fan of Nam, but he's steadily improved since Canadian nationals so I'll give him that.

So... who were the row of official looking people seen wearing masks behind the judges as they were being introduced??

Those are the announcers and TV technical folks - it is a tradition for them to do this (as part of the fun of the event, I guess).

Well, that was really rough for Samarin. Rizzo was very nice before that though.

Apparently Samarin had his moment at Russian Nationals as it's been downhill ever since. The Russian KnC looks more like a wake than a cheering section.

Russian men are pathetic. The pairs can make up some ground, but will it be enough?
