Really? Never mind, you should not expect much from such a bad source in the future... :p but you can definitely count on our best experts in conspiration theories and other shitstorms to get the best up to date reliable information

Sarcasm is lost on you :rofl::rofl::rofl:

LOL! Come on my dear taz'smum. Calm down. Even though you seem so interested to post comments on me (thanks you so much BTW) and almost nothing on Gaby and Guillaume, make an effort and say something on G&G, at least something.

Look! Cocotaffy said "I hope they'll use more of the Sunday afternoon, not that it is fast pace but still." I guess she expects someone to answer. Be sure 99% of the people looking to this thread would like to know too. So... Any thoughts? Any interesting comments about this? I am sure you know so much but don't dare telling us. Make an effort, tell us whether they'll use more of Sunday afternoon … or not

Did your mother never tell you how irritating you are?
It's not worth to loose your nerves as soon as someone ask you to talk about Gaby and Guillaume. You should rather be enthusiastic because you are one of their biggest fan... aren't you?

Cocotaffy launched a quite interesting debate I think. Sunday afternoon is 9mn long and Duett is 4 mn long. One can probably build 5 or 6 different Free dance music compositions out of these 2 pieces. So tell us... Is G&G's FD music more of Sunday afternoon... or not? Any ideas?

My dear alain06fr, you seem super touchy about your super special inside access. Have Gabriella & Guillaume stopped returning your calls? Have they found out that you're throwing shade at their coaches on a public forum when it's best for them to present a united front? Have they heard about the Great North Korean Conspiracy Theory and decided to lose your number?

I might as well point out that you haven't supplied much info that fans haven't found out for ourselves. Other people announced their withdrawal. Other people found out the music choices. The only significant details you gave about the RD, other than subjective superlatives that mean nothing, we could see for ourselves in the warm up video from Masters. But you certainly like the attention you get from flaunting this super special access, don't you, since you're attacking someone else for supplying a bit of info (and someone who's open about why she has access to info and is trusted).

Actually, I don't expect anyone to have an informed answer about the music edit of their FD because I assume no one knows and the one in the know wouldn't betray Gaby and Guillaume's confidence. I would however enjoy a discussion about other people's hopes and vision for their FD. It would all be speculations though which is what a lot this forum is all about anyway. Again to the risk of sounding like a broken record, please pretty please Guillaume's back, heal fast so the programs can be unveiled and we can all collectively talk about concrete information getting this thread back on track :drama: Also thank you @taz'smum for the info about their readiness, it is nice to hear.

Hahaha true. The cameraman is only letting us know that they will do twizzles at some point in the program.
I don't know to who you talk to (for sure someone in my ignore list) but I guess I know to which video you refer to (the one from the Masters). Anyhow, I fully agree with you, it's definitely hopeless to see anything worth about G&G's rhythmic dance on this video. As for G&G's free dance, it's more than hopeless.

I have absolutely no idea.If I was brilliantly artistic enough to figure it out I would choreograph not type. I am sure it will be fantastic but instead of tormenting me I would like a shot or 2 of G&G on ice....not letting on anything secret...just being wonderful.

I'm sure you'll enjoy their programs.

They could get standing ovations even for their rhythmic dance this season. Their RD starts with a stunning sequence: Starting positions, then set of synchronized twizzles immediately followed by a challenging curve lift: Lift entrance with a twist immediately followed by a first lift position followed by a position change by Gaby in the curve and the lift exit combined with twizzles! Their whole RD is a never ending flow with transitions everywhere. There's no time to breath.

Their TRs are really amazing. I won't say more about them but they are just fab. Furthermore, they are almost the only ones to perform several face to face sequences (and not in fixed positions!) in addition to an outstanding sliding, knees on the ice, where Gaby finally falls into Guillaume's arms. You may be surprised but I feel this RD has something really emotional and somehow dramatic. There's such a great contrast between Oblivion and "Primavera Porteña", the first one being slow rhythm with long and soft musical phrases compared to the second one, up tempo with short notes and strong accents. And you will see how this contrast was brilliantly translated into the choreography. BTW, congratulations to Chris who choreographed the best tango this season! As for the strident sounds of the violin, they nicely contribute to the drama of the program. No doubt, this rhythmic dance is a masterpiece, technically and artistically.

Their FD is very different from last season Moonlight Sonata. G&G have a unique signature on the ice with their famous and typical style but Stéphane Lambiel's choreography brings something new and fresh. It was really clever for Gaby and Guillaume to work with a new choreographer whose ice dance vision is different and innovative. On top of that, as they already announced in a recent interview, they started to work on new lifts. I insist on the word "started". Last but not least, a special attention was clearly given to the intense ends of both RD and FD.

Thank-you thank-you......I cannot wait (but I have to) Fingers crossed that all goes well with Guillaume's back and we will see at GP in France...but if he needs more time.....tufffff the suspense will just grow some more. Backs are tricky...better safe than sorry. Merci mille fois.

I am reminded of some crazies french fans from the old old A&P time. That's how Gwendal got rid of all french fans around him and forbid them to enter any rinks they were training at. While all the fans from abroad could come and go. Showing respect.
Maybe some over here could learn a thing or two there, before they're kicked out of those same rinks.:40beers:

Have you guys listened to the songs repeatedly yet?

I think Yamagata's "Duet" with Ray LaMontagne (another artist I was really into like ten years ago) is one of my favorite songs. I'm trying to imagine how their FD will look to it. It's hard to know since we don't know how it's cut with "Sunday Afternoon".

I'm thinking it might be quite a complex edit. Gadbois has come out with quite a few arbitrary starting pieces that are just there to fulfil the criteria for a tempo/rhythm change (H/D and H/B). I'm hoping this time for something along the lines of oddudua, rather than the sandwich edit of MS or SOY, i.e one piece between the sliced bread of another. You know a section of Duet, a section of SA, a section of Duet, a section of SA, so it's almost like a 90s track like Nirvana, or Tori Amos's The Waitress.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IPSjMXp-6FA so a strong structure is made of the two pieces of music.

Hummm I understand you know both songs very well so which parts of Duett and Sunday afternoon would you like to be combined together for G&G’s free dance music?

Good question. I think Sunday Afternoon should be the starting piece to set up the mood while Duet takes over but with Sunday Afternoon's presence still being there like in the background, if that makes sense? I'm totally envisioning a deep mood piece. I'm sort of thinking of this program like an album from an artist who decides to make one big cohesive mood and all the tracks have a sound and style that just adds together to fit that mood.

I think it will be the first verse and chorus of Duet, a section of instrumental from SA, the second verse and chorus from Duet, then more instrumental from SA and the climactic part of SA to end on.

One thing I like about Rachel Yamagata is how natural her voice is. I think any form of artificial vocal styling wouldn't work for PC.

It's actually the other way around, acoustic guitar first (Duett) followed by electric guitar (Sunday afternoon).

The thematics of the songs are very related. I think Duet sounds more like the more mature song, so would have a bias to it coming second; however SA could be the mood of someone who regrets the pact of Duet, so it could work either way. However, I like the climactic bluesy guitar and rocking out part of SA, and identify that is the more unlike P/C section, so it would be good if that is the lasting impression.

Wow ... such a wealth of infos ... lots to think/dream about ...
I was thinking that the piece would be along the lines of Build a Home: "Rain in your black eyes" being the more atmospheric piece akin to "Sunday afternoon" and the Ballad "Duet" the underlying text , not unlike what they did with the cinematic orchestra's "build a home".
I am partial to both "Duet" and "SA" but, like VIETgrlTERIFA, I love "Duet". Can't wait to see what our "wizzards" have concocted!:rockstar:
