BTW Liza's test skate outfits were appropriate, but if she had worn more firm fitting shirts then it would have been very clear she is a women AND very fit.

@essence_of_soy, all I can say is that I’m very glad I’m not a criminal defendant at trial, with you on the jury. “Guilt by association” is all kinds of wrong. And by the way, I believe that your suggestion that TSL could have edited out Doug Haw’s remarks is basically the exact opposite of what Tony Wheeler was saying, which-if I understood correctly-is that when TSL has said something “wrong” in the past, they edit it out so they look better.

Huh, it was perfectly clear to me from her curves in her legs, oh, and her face and hair that she’s a woman. And very fit. You must get some new glasses.
... the men in Mens Health magazine are wonder-full specimens like the best seamen I spent time with in my Navy times.
When she has on tight items Tut is not confused for a man, she like my wife Bonnie is 102 percent all women and no red bodied man like my-self can pay attention to her skating, but I like to judge the body's of woman on ice and explain to Bonnie how she could make change's to be a better version of a perfect woman.
Maybe I was trying to say she would have appeared more womanly than she already appeared. Maybe I was trying to say the curves of her upper torso would have been very revealing. Maybe I was trying to say her outfit was for modesty sake since she wanted people at a test skate to notice her skating.
Liza, in my opinion, has the more old-fashioned ideal body ... And she has the 3A.

TSL have now released a video entitled 'Discussing Body Image and Figure Skating Fitness with Alissa Czisny'. Huh.

As a straight man with very high testerostone levels who has ripped the cloths off many woman in the past, although now I only do such act's with my wife Bonnie.
You can always watch and find out.Does the video include an apology to Tuktamysheva?

This is just another way for the TSL to criticise Russian ladies.
Tuktamysheva shocked a lot of people by easily out-skating both Medvedeva and Zagitova (note I fully understand this was only a test skate so there's no criticism of either Alina or Evgenia from me). When her competitors fell, forgot sections of programs etc, there's not much to criticise Tukt about - so trot out the old faithful about her needing to lose weight.
It's just a blatant take down of a successful skater, probably prompted by envy. And politiks if there is a concern Tukt could be a threat.
It's just concerning to me that an active coach whoworks(CORRECTION - associates with (not works sorry) in a place like TCC (which I feel is boasting about being progressive compared to other camps) is the person who has started this dialogue.
But here we are, talking about this instead of her triple axel. Politicking mission accomplished.
It's just all the more ridiculous because right now Tukt is skating better than she has ever done and it's admitted that any weight loss would only be for supposed aesthetics.
Why have this conversation right after one of the best skates of Tuktamysheva's career? It doesn't make sense to then start talking about performance levels, because clearly she's doing very very well right now. Triple axels just don't happen for skaters who are not in shape.
From what I recall, all of the adult skaters who have landed triple axels have not been skating around on toothpick legs and there's probably a reason for that.
Anyway, here's a lovely interview (with English subtitles) of Tukt and her boyfriend Andrei Lazukin talking after the test skates https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gg58bdMcG5o. She seems very happy and well adjusted. Lots of respect for her remaining in the sport and keeping sane despite everything I'm sure she's had to deal with.
That's only part of the troubling comments, and Jonathan tried to justify it.
Does the video include an apology to Tuktamysheva?
He said he did message her privately to apologize, he did not elaborate.
He did not try to justify it. He wanted Doug to clarify his statement.
I imagine that an apology from Lease would be in the ballpark of Trump admitting he was wrong.

More like getting Hilary Clinton to admit why she really had and destroyed her private server and did not call the guards to prevent the murders in Benghazi attack..
I would not expect you'd engage in this type of rhetoric since it is the rhetoric of someone not used to winning.
Dave said he contacted Tuk personally. It was a good, measured This and That with Alissa to talk seriously about a real problem.
