a threat for Tarasova / Morozov in the future, their elements are just as big !!
also Mishina/Galimov are good although pair elements not as big, both are post pubety too.

I am curious what will happen with Kudryavtseva long term. Before this season when Pavlova split Atakhanova/Spiridonov, Kudryavtseva was a tiny little thing. Now at the last Russian cup it is clear that she grew a bit and going through the puberty. She is not big, definitely not, but she is not the tiny thing Pavlova and possibly Spiridonov were hoping for. I don’t really want her to get too damaged under Pavlova. It is unfortunate that Spiridonov is not very tall and Pavlova is always interested more in the needs of the male partner rather than worrying about the female.

Get them triple jumps, and they could be splendid! Atakhanova has good dance ability: they could have done T/M's FS, and she reminds me a bit of Susie.

It was the SP where 2Lz is compulsory jump. Volodin has 3T if I recall correctly, and Amina had two triples when skating under Pavlova.

Atakhanova/Volodin looked great for such a short time together. She also looks much healthier, though she’s also clearly matured. That throw was massive. I like the fun music choice (I like that song a lot!). At 15/18, they will have a few years on the JGP, too. Who is their coach? Sokolov?

But I’m glad he’s 18 because he’s also super hot

Alina Zagitova's interview for Russia Today

Unfortunately, Alina doen't sound like the brightest perosn. She says that you can't explain anything to people like that (Wagner). Then she says that one day she might think just like Wagner. Basically, Alina has just insulted her own intelect by saying that she is someone to whom things cannot be explained...

And dont tell me that she's just 15. At that age one should already be smart enough to not say things like that.

On the contrary. To my mind, her trolling was smart and subtle and - judging by your reaction - it has hit the mark. Anyway, it was much smarter than Wagner's trolling (which was too clumsy and too openly sour-grapes-like )

Confirmation that in dance, Z/G replace B/S for worlds, with S/B returning as well. The rest of the team is unchanged from the Olympics.

It will be interesting to see where S/B slot in after being off the radar during the Olympics, but now also becoming de facto Russian no. 1. I could see Z/G finishing anywhere from 10th to 15th. Certainly no chance to get 3 spots back this year.

They are embarrassed and humiliated! No medal for Russian ice dance for first time ever. Worst Russian champions ever.
