By the way, If Mirai wins or manages to enter the team her career will be similar to that of the Shibs, just when no one believed in them, they came stronger than ever. Go Mirai and Shibs!!!

Wow, marriage must agree with you. This is not the VGT I am used to!Things will probably change later on this week, but as of right now, I'm feeling really calm about the Shibs going into Nationals. I know they'll be as prepared as any athlete can be and are ready and excited to go.
Cool, they sure do have a lot of sponsors! I wonder why or how the Milkbone sponsorship came about. That sounds like a company that should sponsor Mirai, since she's all about her rescue dogs! The Shibs launched their new website:

This is interesting timing because I was reading an article not too long ago and saw their MaiaandAlex website linked and that one no longer worked.
Totally agree!I'm a little nervous for Maia and Alex, but I always am for my favorite skaters. The other part of me is optimistic and enthusiastic. What would be icing on the cake for me is that all teams skate well, with no twizzle-itis or stumbles and the Shibs win by a large margin.![]()
Or a tiny part of a point margin! Want to see them with Gold again!I'm a little nervous for Maia and Alex, but I always am for my favorite skaters. Maddie and Evan scored 119 last year. I'm pretty sure a 120 will be pulled out, but what I'm expecting more is a BIG BIG score in the SD. Since their first SD showing at Rostelecom which was already strong, it kept on building. I think they really have hit something in the SD and I'm not just talking technical. Sometimes, it just works (even with slight mistakes on twizzles and timing on pattern, their score have been very high, and that might make all the difference). Here's to a clean competition !I want them to win and to score over 120 in the FD. I want them to win big and with a message.
Though Maia and Alex Shibutani have been long-time giants on the international elite ice dancing circuit, the 24 [sic] - and 26-year-olds came in ninth place in Sochi, their first Olympic games. Four years worth of training and growth later, the siblings (known to their fans as the #ShibSibs) are considered podium contenders in PyeongChang — something you can listen to them discuss on their budding YouTube channel. So before they gracefully kick some ass and take some names on the ice at the 2018 Games, get to know your new faves:

For some reason I thought that they were just taking a break from school, not that they had graduated.
So... it's a darker shade of beige? lmao

Here you can appreciate their new costumes. I hate them but whatever, their skating will be fantastic.
