Tessa Virtue & Scott Moir, #46 : Until the End of Time

During the all the ice breaks at Skate Canada they were giving away Hillberg & Berk jewelry away too, they were in bags so I don't know if they were the same earrings but I guess the audience was bribed too. $60 pink, sparkly earrings are a sucky bribe anyway, should've tried giving some signed hockey jerseys or something, try harder Skate Canada!

LOL I was honestly just on the website looking at those earrings.
Is there any way I can get them here in France actually (without monstruous free shipping)? I was thinking about getting the beige ones. Gorgeous !
PS : Hersh isn't a reliable sources when it comes to figure skating, he has been writing poor articles for the sport for years, this is a non-scandal. Don't give that any importance, let it sink.

If Virtue and Moir were American, Phil Hersh would be singing their praises, admiring their work ethic, calling them legends, defending any marks swinging their way, investigating the deduction from the SD at the 2014 Olympics, and complimenting their sponsors for supporting amateur athletes. But they are not; so he does the opposite.

Really hoping they can pull off a score of 119 or better but doubt it..I think the WR of P&C will stay in tact

I am so worried about them right now. 2 POINTS below P/C?! 2?! are you effing kidding me?! can the judges just give P/C their set up gold already so I wont have to deal with the heartbreak at GPF and the olympics.

They got level 3 for both step sequence. That's how they lost the points. My commentator say one small problem with Tessa. I'm not sure why the other ss is also level 3. Too bad V/M won't have level adjusted to level 4 like P/C did at CoC.

If they lose at the GPF I won't be watching the olympics. i can't take another heartbreak where they are robbed again. I can't hurt myself like that.

Then they NEED to redo the step sequences cause it happened the same at SC..something is off with the SS part & if they lose level 4's in both of them then they are NOT beating P&C..& as of right now they won't win GPF..not with P&C over 2 points better each time in the FD..

V/M deserve so much more. SO much. Skate canada doesn't deserve them. Ice dance doesn't deserve them. Judges don't deserve them. Good ya'll sorry for my ranting but I am LIVID.

I am in tears right now. Someone wake me up from this nightmare.

Just take a few deep breaths and maybe walk away from your computer for a bit. Do something else to distract you. Tessa and Scott aren't even upset about their score. They skated great and were happy. I was happy watching it and afterward until looking at this thread. This is just one more step along the way for them to get experience and make tweaks and not even in direct competition with their rivals. And hell, even if they do end up with a silver in Sochi, they won't be the level of upset you are. Us fans shouldn't be upset about things that they aren't even upset about. Take a breather.

I thought Tessa and Scott were on their game today so I'm confused as to why their PCS dropped here. They skated better compared to SCI. The TES I could live with but the PCS though....

The judges are stating what is going down this season & making it known that P&C are going to win the season over V&M & likely go as GPF champs to the OG. The judges have made it clear they prefer P&C FD this season to V&M & that is big trouble for them..not sure how you get past that now, 2 events & both times they are in the 117 area compared to 119 for P&C & if both teams skate clean at GPF it's P&C winning easily..

I don't think we should be too disheartened just yet. It will all come down to levels. So V/M just need to hit it out of the park and hope for a fair panel.

This is the lead up to sochi all over again.

Let's not be too hasty with dire predictions. Different competition, different and seemingly stricter judging this competition? I thought their skate was sensational so it'll be interesting to see where they lost the points.

They got level 3 for the diagonal step sequence but level 4 for the circular step sequence.

Well it seems like they lost points once again in a few areas?
Might have been more of a tie if they had not lost those levels..their score would have been around 119 too then correct?

Brace yourselves though cause P&C are next up at HOME in France for the French GP competition so I suspect as long as they skate clean their marks in the FD will be ridiculous.. probably over 120..god help us then lol

If it's the step sequences that they consistently get dinged for, at least they know they have to make changes. Had they only gotten level 3 in one event, they can shrug it off and blame it on the caller. At least this way they now understand that they have to do more because level 3 is as good as it'll get. Personally, I can't understand why those step sequences can't get level 4 as they have the best edge work and complexity of steps.

On the plus side, the twizzles looked great tonight.

P/C could fall three times in france and they would still break the WR in all three point areas. L-O-L. I am so effing done.

Guys stop freaking out.
Their Dist is level 3 : rewatch. Tessa made a mistake just before going into one of her twizzle, she put her foot down too soon so no level 4.

Had a look at the protocols. They got level 4 for the other step sequence but got dinged at GOE. And PCS is 1 point lower than SCI, which is worrying. I don't know what to say. I guess we'll have to wait for GPF to see the trend.
