2017-2018 Program Music and Choreographers

I don't even think that's skatable. Nice idea though. As long as he doesn't play Lafayette :)

Yeah, but there are already around 6 links on Youtube with skating performances to music from Broadway's Hamilton (everything from local show skating, synchronized team, regional singles, recreational singles -- just not yet eligible senior national or international competitions, but clearly that will change). :)

Lin-Manuel Miranda himself earlier this season re-tweeted this performance by U.S. skater Philip Baker at a regional competiton: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gWD6kJVUmRI

If Jason does work with Rohene on a Hamilton program for the Olympic season, I'm thinking it's going to be great. :D

Ricky Dornbush used a muzak version of With or Without You, I think?

And because I miss Ricky D:

That link cuts off, so here's one with the end of the program

I can't find his Nationals fp for that year for Sherlock Holmes

Not only LLL is not the best choice for C/B but Dean choreographing it  His style does not fit this type of music at all imo. He's all about quirkiness, weird body positions and lifts. He was a good fit to choreograph Under Pressure, actually the choreography should have even been quirkier and voidier.
I think Lambiel would do a great job on LLL.

Give him chance. Jayne and Chris skated all possible styles in their career, including lyrical ones. And they choreographed everything themselves. And this season Chris choreographed exhibition for Gilles/Poirier, the style of which I wouldn't call quirky. I think it is a beautiful dance, though maybe not necessarily skated to the full potential by Piper and Paul.

Well well, Already some USA pairs are taking the hint and are upping their game. Once Alexa and Chris are fully healthy I hope they'll be able to perform Dean's choreography the best they can. But for the standard set by US pairs.. no I won't complete my thought. New season soon I resolve to stay positive.

LOL, me too.. but can Chris take more jump classes?

If she bombs every single performance of it, then she will have officially completed her transition into Nancy Kerrigan.

I'll just assume she saving the Neil Diamond stuff for the 2022 games.

Alright, no dissing Kerrigan for a cheap laugh. Great Am. champion. :revenge:

How do you know they don't have much ballet?

i don't see it in their skating. Their Ice network bios mention musical theatre, karate, football, soccer, basketball, basketball and track. No ballet mentioned, even to watch.

Plus they're an American pair from Florida. I might think so if Meno and Sand were their coaches.

If I'm wrong, show me and I'll recant.

Actually I have seen mentioned before that the Florida teams all do ballet and I have seen at US Nationals video of Tarah and Danny doing a ballet warm-up! SO I'm pretty sure they do ballet. Not sure what Meno and Sand have to do with ballet, but if their teams are doing ballet, it's not showing.
