Worlds 2025 Women SP: “She Works Hard For The Mone (So You Better GOE Her Right)”

Chiba... That's kind of very podium skate at the junior worlds. Not bad but not extremely exciting. I wouldn't have had her second.

Petrokina .. first of all, how did they manage to make her look 35. Secondly, I didn't think this program was such a good idea - it doesn't have enough excitement to carry the performance of things don't go well.

This sport has a huge problem with body policing. Armchair judging the health or appropriateness of a skater's body does far more harm than good.

Body policing in encouraging skaters to be thin, but not in responding or helping when skaters might encounter problems in trying to meet that ideal.

I said I hoped she was healthy and eating well, and I'm going to leave it at that.

I tink I'm missing at least one Chris-ism. Here is what I have so far:

Armography
Cutouts
dream/ perfect start
Face touching
Fist pump
Heart hands/ arms
Music from movie/TV
Music from musical
Knee slide
Obvious warhorse
Superstar artist
Tribute program
whickety-whack
Neon for Mone's dress?

 Qing Pang admitted to chewing food, spitting it out and not swallowing.
She didn't look skarily thin in real life: she gained no weight from the camera. Of course weight has nothing to do with nutrition, but I was about six feet from her for quite a while, and I was really surprised.

Petrokina feeling the pressure of being European Champ get to her. Though to be fair, had she not had that lightening-in-a-bottle moment at Euros, that would have been considered a good, solid skate for her. I think 7th right now is a reasonable place for Niina if you take out that one competition.

If you have not started drinking yet, now's the time. 🍷

I must have missed this....can someone tell me why Belgium only has 1 woman here....they did qualify 2 spots last year, right? No one else had the score mins?
