I do think, even though she couldn't hang on for the top 10, that Maddie Schizas should still be proud of what she did this week. Especially considering she ended up 12th and 4CC's last month and was 18th at Worlds last year.
I hope Maddie isn't too hard on herself, she handled the pressure better than she has in the past and while I'm sure Sara-Maude or Kaiya would love the chance to try for a spot at the OQE I don't know that either would have a particularly good chance at getting one.

What the hell did we just see? I figured Chiba was the last best chance to beat Kaori and when she didn't i thought well that's it Alysa doesn't have the firepower right now to win. I thought well she's skating great maybe she'll win the silver then i saw the technical score and i was like is she gonna win this thing? 😲

I know I wasn't here at FSU to share in the total spectacular fantastic excitement, but I've been watching USA on TV and I've seen all the skaters. It's something I can't help because I have to get out of that darn wheelchair. But that's okay!!

Like oh my stars! Twinkle them! Alysa was so excited, happy, zealous and elated while skating so spectacular! Kaori was out of this world! She was fantabulous, and she and Alysa were crying and hugging each other! Then I saw Kristi Yamaguchi and she was crying! I also saw Peggy Fleming and Scott Hamilton.

I knew when Alysa decided to come back after those two years that she was going to sparkle and shine! Well, she did more than sparkle and shine. She was illuminating!!

Sorry y'all! I haven't been this excited in a long time and it feels great! :cheer2::rockstar:
