So, now that we know that both Petrosian and Safonova are in as AINs...

Yeah, I'm anxious to see her start posting that she's back on the ice. She's still in rehab mode - lots of biking, running, weight-training right now. Haven't seen her in the rink yet, though.
Yeah I have thought about this several times, that people seems a bit too sure she will be ready for Beijing qualifier. It seems obvious she is still not back on the ice and instead doing all other light activities. I don´t think she even has put her skates on to just feel the ice, she is posting very frequently about her daily activities on her story, and I don´t think she would have left that part out.

I don´t think she will be ready unless she starts to skate again very soon - it feels like the next couple of weeks is going to decide. I think she needs to be back on the ice early June to be able to go to the qualifier - I assume they must know by the end of August who they are going to submit, and she probably needs about 1,5-2 months after she starts training again on the ice to regain some of her triples. And if she does make it, I don´t think we can expect her to do a triple triple in Beijing at this rate. At the very best it will probably be a watered down content. And it takes time to regain stamina for a long program.

Oh, and I also forgot about making new programs. That takes time as well. Maybe she just ends up recycle programs, at least for Beijing qualifier. There is no way there is enough time to both regain her triples and make new programs before Beijing now.

Yes...if she is able to make it to the qualifier, let's hope she recycles anything other than her two most recent programs. She really deserves better choreography than the tacky slop Adam Solya provides. Talk about diminishing returns.
