Now that we know there will NOT be a Russian AIN at the OQE in September and that Akopova/Rakhmanin have received their release...

Can someone refresh my Kahlúa and Cheerios this morning, Sui is coming back? And yes, there are some threads I don’t go into, so it probably is being discussed.
Who knows what will come of Sui's quest to come back. She did make the announcement that she was attempting a comeback last winter. Her partner was Li Zeen and they showed their SP maybe a month ago. However, there have since been reports surfacing on Weibo that Li was suspended by the CFSA because of sexual assault allegations, and that they're trying to convince Han to skate with her again. We probably won't know anything for sure until we see the GP assignments list.

What about the Canadian national and Olympic champions (names elude me at the moment)? Stiletto-Dudak and Dechamps I think - probably an Spelling error in there? Are they not competing?

Canada has already qualified spots in all disciplines for the Olympics - 2 pairs entries - and so won't be competing at the Olympic Qualifying event.

is there any hope for their appeal or is it just a formality?
Who knows? With StepBuk, I'd say there is no hope for their appeal. MishGal, maybe, but it will depend on what was found on their (mostly his) social media & public activities during the last 3 years. I'd say probably not. The other thing is that CAS appeals, as we saw with Valieva, take a long time. With just 4 months between now & the OQE, I'd say their chances of success are negligible.

ok, I'm ready to vote then. but I'm putting my fantasy favorites cause I believe in pairs chaos.
