Which figure skating discipline will have the most shocking result at these Milano Olympics?

JMO, but Shaidorov's PCS scores do not reflect what I saw on the ice. This is not what I want in figure skating. (I'm not debating his win. The other guys gave it to him with their jumps.)

Nope. I've said this about Shaidorov before. I don't think his presentation skills are very strong. If you have a different view of Shaidorov and think he's an outstanding artist or have something else intelligent to add to the conversation, please do. But, simply posting this kind of nonsense instead makes me think you don't.

If USFS/ USOC didn’t retain Dr. Eric Potterat this cycle, they need to, STAT.

That would mean ceding control, since what they think of skaters is what keeps them in line, or skaters suffer the consequences. And it would be a bigger surprise than Malinin not winning gold if they ever were to do that.

It’s clear from the article that it’s not a back-and-forth switch between values and reputation, and it’s not hierarchical, like reputation for USFS, values for everything else.

Yes his technical score was through the roof but there wasn't much artistry. I didn't look at the breakdown of scores and won't be...too much drama with Ilia and the ice dance result. This Olympics has worn me down.

I would say the pairs final results were not shocking at all.

I would say that in Women's and Pairs, it’s more than just a couple of potential winners. Maybe six women (the three Japanese, two Americans, and Petrosian)
