To Sing for the Day - Round 21

World of Imagination - from "Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory"
The song prior to this was I love you just the way you are - Billy Joel
Are you trying to match Willy and Billy? Or did you just not see my post which is directly above yours? I had posted mine last night, so I don't think we posted simultaneously.

Maybe she has you blocked? ?

I dont think the rules of this thread are very strict. Sometimes people use "of" or "the" as the connecting word. ???

P.S. Billy Joel never recorded a song entitled "I love you just the way you are". ??? So I don't think rules are that important. We just wait to see if people come up with a song we had forgotten...hopefully one we forgot we loved! ?

I found one that connect the last two posts:

World Just Keeps On Turning - Candi & The Backbeat

This was a #15 pop hit in Canada in 1990. Probably a group that got signed as they sounded quite a bit like what Madonna would have released up until that time. This song was nominated for Best Dance Recording at the Juno Awards of 1991.

No, I haven't blocked Vash. Why would I? Maybe I just missed the latest post? BTW just for the record, the Billy Joel song is "Just the Way You Are."

Back to the game - Begin the Beguine - a Cole Porter song, I think.

Something strange is going on here. Moebius has posted a song that does not have a Word, nor the singer, from the previous song, which just happens to be posted by me (why me?) 'To' is not the same word as 'Two' - just in case that was the thinking behind it.

Paskate, which rule did I break by adding 'I love you' to the Billy Joel song title 'Just the way you are'? I didn't put a bracket around it, so now I am a rule breaker?

I am fed up!

It was just a wild guess as to figuring out what was going on. I personally don't know why people block others. But it seems to happen fairly often reading other threads.

I don't see this thread as a place where we have to take things too seriously. So if the link between songs that two people have posted is where the word sounds the same ("homophones" according to google), I think we'll be okay. :)

As for the Billy Joel song, it has never had more than five words in the title. "I love you" are in the lyrics, but Joel has never used those additional three words in the title, with brackets or not:

I was the first to bring this up as we seem to be at the point where maybe we have different thoughts about the rules of our game? I am hoping we don't have to take things too seriously. I fear we might lose people if we do so and this thread doesn't move as quickly as I would like! :D

And back to the game:

The End Where I Begin - The Script

Sorry, I didn't know what I wasn't paying attention to what I was typing.

Only When You Leave - Spandau Ballet

Wow! Three songs with the same title (For the record, I'm not familiar with the other two - I have some listening to do).

Back to the game:

The Winner Takes It All - ABBA
