Ticketmaster class action settlement - free tickets and discount codes!

I haven't read too much into the details of the case, but I got an email that apparently ticketmaster got sued for...something? And now pretty much anyone who made purchases through them in a certain period of time gets discount codes and/or free tickets for admission to a list of events TBA.

According to the email I received, any purchases made between October 21, 1999 and February 27, 2013 through ticketmaster should result in one or more of Discount Codes, UPS Discount Codes, and Ticket Codes.

You can check what codes you've received by logging into your ticketmaster account/going to https://www.ticketmaster.com/member/vouchers

I have two discount codes and two ticket codes, the latter of which are good for two tickets each. Hopefully there will be at least some events that I'm interested in once they release the list of eligible events, which will eventually be at http://concerts.livenation.com/microsite/settlement

Just thought it would be good to share for those who might not have received the email. Check your ticketmaster accounts everyone! :)

Must be US only -- I haven't received any email and there's no info when I log into my account.

I got that e-mail a few weeks ago - I figure each person will probably get about 50 cents, lol.

I tried logging in to that page but got a message that they "are experiencing technical difficulties" - yeah, I'm sure. :shuffle:

I mean my discount codes were $2.something each but the free tickets are still free tickets. But yeah I got that message yesterday too but refreshing a few times seemed to get it working.

I have several for free tickets, but there is no code up yet and they say general admission tickets only. I'm guessing the eligible events will be a pretty short/uninspiring list.

I bought tickets today but there was no code even for the discounts up, just a list indicating I will get a code at some point.

Thanks. I've got a bunch of the $2 discounts and free tickets, but if I got the email, I ignored it. I expect I won't like any of the free ticket events, but maybe my younger relatives would.

Some of the discount codes are just for shipping if you elect mail via UPS. Depends on which kind of code it is.

It turns out I have a TicketMaster account, which I did not realize. I don't think I registered for the class action suit so I never got an email. I don't know if I have anything in my account because I forgot my password and then I got distracted.

ETA okay, I got in and ... no vouchers. Oh well.

A lot of eligible events for the tickets have been posted. Unfortunately, the ones I would be interested in I already have tickets for or are too far away. Hope some of you are more lucky than I am.

Nothing on the current list is near us. Closest venue is 6.5 hrs away.

Tickets are going quickly. Many events have already sold out. So if you are eligible, check it out quickly.

The voucher code is useless b/c you only can use for eligible events, which is a short list, and most of them are not in California. I thought I would be able to use it any event.

Wow, I have 15 discount codes...guess I have bought a lot of tickets over the 14 years, lol. Unfortunately, the way I read it, it looks like you can only use 1 at a time and can't combine them for a single purchase.

The vouchers are useless to me b/c none of the events are anywhere near me.

I kept getting a try back later message, and by the time I could get my codes, all the events in this area were done. I hate going out to Jiffy Lube Live anyway. I will see if my brother can find some events in Raleigh.
