So I thought I would start a thread about matters of interest regarding media coverage of skating. I thought of this because a fave of mine announced he’s moving from WashPost to the New Yorker, with specific permission to keep covering skating despite his specialty covering race and social issues. Nothing I like better than another politics/skating addict (paging @BlueRidge )

Wow, that’s amazing news for Robert! His background article about George Floyd in WaPo a couple years ago was excellent. And of course I love his figure skating stuff. . Haven’t gotten a chance yet to read his book about Floyd, but it’s on my list.
