This or That - Round 39

I'd be shocked ever to learn that those stand-up comedians widely thought to be among the greatest of all time--Bruce, Gregory, Pryor, Carlin, Hicks, Rock, etc.--weren't all the while seeking to offend at least some people, even before trying to get a laugh out of them. For that reason, I'll have to say, "For the most part, No". If you're already at the point of "Whatsamattercantchatakeajoke?", then it's unlikely that anything you'll come up with will be commendable to the ages.

I was a kid during the last PC epoch. Whether the subsequent age of post-PC complacency was any better (or even freer) is debatable.

No. He made it with sequels in mind.

Which of the following had the best sequel compared to the original?

The Godfather/The Godfather: Part II
The Terminator/Terminator 2: Judgment Day
Lord of the Rings Trilogy: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)/ The Two Towers (2002)/The Return of the King (2003)
Alien (1979)/Aliens (1986)
Star Wars: A New Hope/Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back
Toy Story (1995)/Toy Story 2 (1999)

I actually liked Aliens better than Alien so I'll go with that one. But Godfather II is on my to rewatch list since I haven't seen it in ages.
