This whole time we thought they were showing us all those baby clips because they were cycling through them for NBC fluff pieces or whatever, but it turns out that it was all for the video they were making about their mom. I teared up a bit. Now we know where Alex and Maia get their passion for vlogging and filming from, their dad was responsible for all of those numerous home movies that we fans now get to enjoy.

I always thought that the responsible one of those videos was their mom. I am impressed not only by everything he recorded, but also by how well they keep it. My family used to record many videos and only God knows where those videos are now :( . It is so sweet of Maia and Alex to show and to thank her mom like that.

I’m super impressed by how well their dad documented and preserved everything too! My parents left our baby pictures and videos behind when we moved to the US lol. I guess my grandparents can enjoy them whenever they want :lol:

I saw it but TSL hates to Maia and Alex, so I don´t know, maybe they are saying it only for people start to criticize them and speculate about them now, as their followers are doing right now, even when it is obvious that the decision will depend on Nathan skating one or both segments. And if they can´t use 2 teams, Maia and Alex skating both segments would be more than justified.

because some rumors from them have been true, I think they said that Gracie would retire from the GP series. Though watching her performances at Stars on ice for me it was very obvious that she would not be competing this season, so I don´t know, maybe they just deduce things.

eta 1. I think they said early that Ashley changed La la land for MR.
eta 2. But their rumor about Elena and Nikita trying out was never confirmed.
 
Because like it or not there are people in the skating world who either think like TSL and enjoy it and think they’re being cool or in the clique by providing info or are using TSL to release info early for their benefit.

I just hope the Shibs can drown out whatever negativity the Shibs receive for this decision, if true, and perform in Pyeongchang the best they ever have.
 
It's not like the Shibs made this decision anyway. USFSA chooses who they want to skate for the team event, so if people need to direct hatred somewhere, that's the direction it needs to go. I'm sure the Shibs will do whatever they can to support the team and skate the absolute best they can, which is what the team comp is all about.
 
It may be true not because Lease has inside information but because of Nathan. Lease would like folks to believe he is in the know but we know just as much as he does. If the US is smart it makes sense to split the men and rest their only gold medal contender.
 
I will admit to secretly selfishly wanting the Shibs to skate both programs in the team event but I totally wasn’t expecting that to actually happen. I don’t care about the noise and I doubt they do either. If they have to only use 1 dance team because of men and ladies, the Shibs do make the most sense.

I am impressed to know that for ALL of their competitions and a majority of their other events, she does her own hair and makeup. I hope she makes a video with all the makeup for the SD, I love it. But it is obvious that she is a natural beauty, she does not need to try hard.

And I loved the: *Alex helped me with the text and effects because he has “quality” standards for our videos. lol :lol:
 
I personally want the video where Alex does Maia’s makeup. You can’t just throw that out there without following through, Maia. :rofl:

Also, her freckles are super cute and I think it’s cool she doesn’t cover them with her makeup.
