The One and Only Daisuke Takahashi - Because we miss him so much thread

Daisuke's update on the FB page of his new up-coming biography, 2000 Days.

Green Tea ceremony

" It was a long time since I last had maccha (whipped green tea for tea ceremonies) .
This was a hot day but it tasted very nice at the tea house.

The truth is, I had a 98/100 for the tea ceremony manner course test when I was in high school, but I remember none of it… So, I just made it a quad-turn and this should do for now.

Sorry that I got no manner.

Ooooh, I may want to learn tea…

By the way do you see why I put these clothes on?

You, who thought I went along with the maccha…
hit the nail right on the head!

OK, now!

I think I've found my people. I'll probably be posting here every single day.

A couple of weeks ago, I was having a bad day, and what did I do to cheer myself up? I watched his 2012 World programs.

I understand very well. That's why I opened this thread: a place where to talk about Dai-chan and cry on eachother's shoulders when needed
Please come here often!

Have you checked my FB page Daisuke Takahashi Road to Sochi ?

You'll feel at home there.

Yes, that's one of the first pages I check when I open FB everyday. :) Thank you for creating it and also this thread!

I actually become sadder when I watch his 2012 World programs, so I always watch the 2010 ones instead. La Strada never fails to bring a smile to my face.

Not sure if any fan here can read Chinese but there is a Dai blog that I visit frequently. She has a lot of videos and gifs. It's worth taking a look even if you can't understand the words. Her posts start from 2011 until now so there's a lot of things I can view in case I miss him.

tamms, thanks for info. I know that blog, too, and I visit it very often, although web-translation from Chinese into my language is often unclear. But, as a friend of mine says, "Love for Daisuke knows no boundaries"

ostile, thanks for pic. Sochi is still painful to my heart because I know how painful skating was for Daisuke. In spite of this, he did not fall, skating with his heart and soul through an intense and enchanting program.

Morning smile

^ Thank you Pattina! :)

What a tease! Sounds like he's having fun though, wherever he is.

And how I wish I could have copies of all those photos there, haha.

So is Dai retired or what? I see he is not competing this season.

He is on hiatus for this season. He hasn't made any other announcements regarding his future. For the time being he seems to be traveling and relaxing. Plus he is still working on his graduate thesis. So far that's all we know.

He's also currently working on his next book 2000 Days to which, as he's done for the previous ones, he's devoting much time and energy. The book will be released on January 9th 2015. And then we have a new DVD coming out on November 19th.

I feel so sad. I know that he couldn't skate forever but still... Well at least I hope that he takes all the time to heal his knees, and skate in shows for the fans.

I've pretty much expressed my feelings over at GS, but I just want to say thank you Daisuke. Thank you for everything that you've done and shown. All beautiful.

I think it's time for me to bring out my Daisuke books and start reading them as promised to myself.

You will have a new book to read in January and a DVD to watch to be released on November 19th. :)

^ Yes! I already preordered the book and also the magazine. I may buy the DVD while I'm in Japan for NHK Trophy. :)

Oh, you must! :)

I think if I see it in a store, I will grab it without thinking twice. ;)
