I get dizzy just trying to watch those side by side videos, never mind trying to compare edges and what not.
I’m just enjoying all nine videos since we’re never going to see this dance at any competition ever again. Shame. I would love to see Fear/Gibson do this dance.

IMO Cizeron is actually better than Moir. And there might be others, but atleast 1 so he isn't even the very best male dancer, as great as he is.

While I can't think of any female better than Tessa for sure, atleast not in anything surrounding their time, possibly ever.

Based on that alone yeah probably Tessa > Scott if we are going to go there. :p
This is certainly the case for me, and I'd agree that Tessa is the best female ice dancer.

I'd also place Dean ahead of Moir. I don't know why Moir can be underrated only because of his personality lol. I think the difference is crystal clear.

What are the odds of Lala beating the canadanes at nationals , can skate canada afford sending them to worlds again knowing sorensen can screw up at any moment.

And of course, Marjorie and Zach have never made mistakes in competition.

The score that Laurence and Nikolaj got at the Final even with the big lift issue would still put them very comfortably in the top ten at Worlds.

Not the huge mistakes that Sorensen does, and Marjo and Zach will easily finish top ten if they skate well at worlds their rd is already scoring in the 80`s and if they beat the canadanes international judges will score them like the number 2 team point will go up.

Okay, but as we established, F-B/S will also be top ten.

You’re also greatly overstating the idea that Sorensen is inherently mistake-prone. They were primarily related to injuries.

The only way LajLag beat FBSoer at Canadians is if Nik has another fall like he did in Torino.

Injury excuse was last year what is the excuse this year the skirt, lala typically get stronger as the season progresses sorensen is old and worn out.

As a real live uber of Lajoie & Lagha, I will be the first to say that this year they will not beat FB&S without FB&S making a major mistake, and even then. I'm okay with that. FB&S have very mature and beautiful skating. Marjorie & Zach are on their way there but not there yet.

Its a total bummer Canada doesn't have three spots at Worlds, but them's the breaks.

On the off chance LaLa do beat F-B/S at Nationals, do we think Skate Canada will send LaLa to Worlds? Or fall back on the body of work argument such as with Radford and James?

Disclaimer: I Uber both teams so have no particular bias in this discussion.

Another possibility in that scenario would be to send all three to 4CC and then, whoever placed higher there could get the Worlds spot.

PS, jinx, @manhn!

I have a feeling the only way F-B/S don't go to Worlds is if they voluntarily withdraw.
That's what I've thought all along and except for the fall at GPF they've been very strong.

I hate that Marjorie & Zach won't be at Worlds this year, but I would find it much worse if FB&S had to withdraw due to injury. Fingers crossed for Nikolaj!

Has Skate Canada ever done that? My bet is that they decide after Nationals and that it might not be based on how the teams finish there.
They have on occasion done that in situations where the team that was expected to get a spot faltered at nationals, as when (in pairs) Liubov & Charlie lost to Evelyn & Trennt in 2020.
