The annual Costumes thread 2019-2020

Like the Oscars and the Golden Globes we should have an annual Costumes thread, I think.

So far which ones have you liked or disliked?

I liked many of the costumes-

Kihira LP- beautiful color
Sakhanovich LP- very unusual and nice design with blue and white
PAGANINI LP - elegant black
Medvedeva LP
Marin Honda LP - absolutely loved this blue dress
STEPANOVA Bukin FD - loved the simplicity and elegance
Alexa SK- LP - Liked the purple white dress on her but why did Chris wear navy?
Boikova Kozlowski SP - I love pink
MTM LP - nice pale dress on her, dark on him

Jason Brown LP
Hanyu LP
Lazukin LP
TANAKA SP (I know everyone except me hated it)

Disliked-

Madison Hubell FD - Didn’t like the low waist
Boikova LP (didn’t like gray on her)
Deniss Vasilievs - SP (sheer back?)
Brendan KERRY SP (should tone down a bit)
Tarasova’s LP dress - proven to be unlucky
Kaori’s LP dress (I know everyone liked it)

KMT's SP dress (gorgeous royal blue)
Piper's FD dress, but I don't like Paul's FD costume. The neck to ankle beigy colour paired with black skates just doesn't work for me.
Stepanova and Bukin's RD costumes
I know many people don't like the dress reveal costumes, but I like Scherbakova's, especially pre-reveal. Gorgeous colour.
Laurence Fournier Beaudry's FD costume. Looks like something you could wear out to a cocktail party

Dislikes:
Gabby's SP dress at Skate Canada
Nam's costumes. It's a minor thing, but I hate that I can see his laces flopping around because his pants are tucked into his skates instead of over them.

Ambivalent:
Nathan Chen's FP. I like that it's brighter and more colourful than his usual, but it's basically the exact same costume he always wears, just in a different colour. I wish he had a different cut, or went a bit more Elton for it.

This season many females are dressed top notch. I found the guy's costumes very plain/ugly this season, but there is still some hope.

I would like to personally thank to the customs officer who held as long as possible this season's costumes for H/K, at least we got two competitions without them. I love H/K, but ...

Didn’t like Gabby’s LP - too gray, too depressing

The only gray I had really liked on a lady was Carolina Kostner’s cat suit.

The SP is a good program.
The dress is awful. It looks like a sack that’s trying to be an 80s cocktail dress with a pretty awful neckline. It’s just bad.

Since they are winning, they don’t want to waste their time on improving costumes.

uummmmm..But I would imagine he would be sweating so a light coloured band would not wear well. I love the pink top. Only real men wear pink.

I liked the red/black costume of Mishina Gallyamov.

Loved Zagitova’s Cleopatra costume.
