Surprised at the closeness between V/M and P/C, with the loss of balance in the twizzle, which should have affected TES more, and IMO it should be that close, let alone P/C ahead in PCS, but what do I know.

exactly! i just think the committee is just giving v/m a consolation prize. they will overscore p/c in the free to get them the gold. i still can't shake off the fixed/rigged feeling with all this

I think it shows that they want to give the victory to P/C, so P/C messed it up for them and V/M forced them to get out the high marks with their brilliant skate.

They were unbelievable. P/C's PCS was blatantly overscored so that the lead wasn't insurmountable in the FD. As if their components were better for that skate. V/M should be almost guaranteed Olympic Champions right now.

But they've pulled off the skate of their life once now, they can do it again.

I noticed it during the last 10 seconds or so of their actual performance as well. I do have to commend her for how calm she was when she looked down and noticed her boob was out after their ending pose.

I would be okay with them having 80 points, but basically 82, less than a point from the previous world record, is way too much.

Let's not blame the skaters for that. It's ice dance, politics is king, but I'm sure P/C work really hard to be the best they can be.

On another note, V/M were fab! Judging by the scores, they're going to have to be just as good in the free to get gold. But, in my mind, they needed to be about 1.5 points ahead after the SD to have a shot, and they achieved that.

1.5 point is still way too close for comfort, considering how the judges can easily overscore p/c in the FD. just look at how they scored p/c's PCS over v/m's

OMG what has just happened? V/M was brilliant! I was so nervous I don't even remember their short dance. I need to see a replay. That said, that score was very high for P/C...I would have scored them even lower. I don't even know what to think for tomorrow. Sometimes I guess the preparations for the olympics is more important than anything else.
