Survivor v32 - Brains, Brawn, Beauty v2

I wanted Doc Obama voted off. Oh well. Tai can never figure out why he was added to the beauty tribe when he is the most beautiful of them all. Thank heavens Scot improved this week. He still comes back to Lawrence, KS to do a lot of charitable work. He has wonderfully goofy and gentle moments with children. I don't think we will see that Scot. Even if he was "playing the game" he was nice to Tai.

Remember Rupert?? I only saw his first season and my impression of him was that he was a gentle giant.

Oh, that is disappointing. I think I will be safe sticking with Tai as he seems so kind.

I actually thought he had an entitlement complex even in his first season. But then he got even worse from there.

ITA. I was loving Rupert the first season. The scene in the town and he stole/pirated the other tribes shoes - so entertaining.
Then in a TC in the 1st season - he got at least one vote. When they returned to camp he was so angry demanding to know who voted for him. He was so shocked anyone would vote for him. That turned me off. And he kept validating that negative vibe that going forward.

Interesting episode - hope it does not impact Tai negatively in the future.
Again - Debbie did not annoy me, is playing, and Scot appreciates Tai.
but I agree with posters here and on previously tv - Tai is getting too much screen time - so means he does not win :(
I was hoping he would use the Idol to get rid of Peter. He would have Anna and Julia, and possibly Scot vs the 2 remaining brains
Tai is playing a great social game, he is likeable, shows he is conflicted with chickens, but then voted out Anna.
That challenge was brutal - but the puzzle was a little different.

Who was that blonde girl that had to go back to camp by herself? I don't even remember her being on the show. :p

All 3 of the beauty girls were basically interchangeable to me until this episode. They were all lumped together as a trio whenever anybody was talking about them. I had no idea what their names were until yesterday... Anna, Julie, and... uhhh... I don't know the 3rd one :shuffle:

I'm glad they voted the doctor off. I like the college student (Julia?) Thank God Scot didn't loose a challenge that involved basketball. I'm sure he would have never heard the end of it. I'm curious to see the alliances that form in the other tribe.

I am happy to see Peter gone, because he's arrogant - but the editing tonight was interesting. We saw Peter connecting with the 3 non-Brain members of the tribe, but Aubry and Joe appeared to be completely keeping to themselves and obsessing over Peter instead of drawing in the others. Julia appears to have been the one who approached Aubrey when the rest were trying to get something going. Aubrey and Joe just came across as totally out of touch, especially in the moments before the vote. Also interesting that, after all his testing of waters, Peter decided to stay loyal to his original alliance (pissing everyone else off and sealing his fate).

Now Aubrey's gone from a pretty secure position to a terrible one - even Joe will be super pissed at her. Perhaps the merge will help her out, if Debbie and Neal want to work with them again.

Julia is pretty scrappy.

Scot is starting to be an interesting and pretty good player - UGH that he'll be back with Jason next week.

Debbie's titles are the best thing about this season

I am glad Peter is gone, but I would have preferred Joe to be voted out tonight. Peter is arrogant, but appears to understand this game.
Joe really turned me off in this episode. I did not like some of the things previously (the way he was dismissive when I think Liz was concerned about boiling water), but also did not like him being labelled old. I think the way he confronted Peter was really stupid.
The phrase, keep your friends close and your enemies closer. If I was Peter and someone confronted me like Joe did, I would not want to be aligned with them.
Peter should not have been aligned with them - that was dumb on his part.
And true - Aubry and Joe seemed to think they were in control and did not try and work any other relationships.

If they truly are merging next week, not 2 tribes in one place, Julia is probably safer. They will start voting out the physical threats.
I did notice that Tai smiled at Julia. So wonder if Tai with Scot, Julia and Michelle - a good alliance?
Scot - again a good week for him. I do like how he said something nice to Nick after that challenge - good sportsman. If he stays away from Jason - he might be tolerable, but next week - not so sure.
I do not like Nick, ugh on the way he talks to Michelle. But impressive that he held his own with a NBA player.
Debbie - again - looking not as annoying and making alliances this week.
I am enjoying this season.

Sucks seems convinced that Debbie has the winner's edit.

I just know it's gotta be a woman, and one that Jeff deems even less worthy that usual - which would make me think it's Michelle (if you just said "who?" - exactly) :P

If it's Debbie then they could show a montage clip at the reunion of all the times she's said "I want a woman to win." I think Cydney could potentially go far, if she's able to move between the Jason/Scott alliance and whatever girl power plan Debbie has.

Debbie is funny--often unintenionally--and smart. I hope she has a long run on the show. I wish Scot would hang with Tai rather than Jason next week. Oh well. I like Julia and hope she isn't voted out soon. When does it benefit the tribe to vote a physically strong person like Scot out? Would his strength help them after the merge?

I think they'll do that no matter who wins.
And show her 50-11 different job titles. That would be so great.

When does it benefit the tribe to vote a physically strong person like Scot out? Would his strength help them after the merge?
The merge is when they'll want to start dumping the strong people. Immunity becomes individual and they don't want a strong person to go on a winning streak.

more about the strange editing from last night - in his farewell confessional, Peter mentioned his strategy for putting the small blocks on the bottom as a reason for his vote - there must have been a lot more discussion about this in TC than we saw, because that is one thing that never came up in the pre-TC discussions to vote for him, and no one seemed to hold it against him even when Jeff asked about it. Really - given how close it was, sure, they probably would have won if they'd started building the tower of blocks right, but the group also switched strategies pretty quickly. It's not like he was digging in his heels and demanding that they keep with it. There are lots of challenges where tribes have to switch gears once they get started.

I also agree with smurfy about Joe - be came across like a belligerent coot.

Maybe Peter just couldn't conceive of the problem being his charming personality and that was the only explanation he could come up with.
