Good article on the upcoming 50th season. They will be running select episodes prior to the premiere. (Dates in the article). Also, celebrity cameos, and a fan search for idols in all 50 states. Not sure how that will work.

Well, seeing the cast list, I’m looking forward to seeing about six of them play again, I’m dreading a few, and don’t remember a few until I see them. That’s better than I thought.
 
I've missed enough seasons now that I genuinely don't know who the later folks are. I think Dee's season was my last - the cast of the next season looked so off-putting I skipped it and I don't think I've been back. So watching S50 will feel like a Fans v 2nd Tier Favorites for me :lol: (seriously, who requested Jenna Lewis? She wasn't even that interesting the first time around).

OTOH, I'm just grateful Boston Rob isn't in the cast :cheer2:
 
I’ve watched almost every season (I missed one or two when DS was playing travel hockey), and on some of the people I’m like, you won? I don’t know who you are!

Maybe the problem is that they show them all nice and cleaned up in these articles. Show them all dirty at the end of the game and I might remember! :rofl:
 
I think they did pretty well with the newer generation picks, aside from what I think is a glaring miss by not taking Jesse Lopez. I also think they should’ve had Carolyn back but she was posting some stuff about how since she did Traitors so recently they weren’t too keen on picking her, but they are fine with Cirie back for a 30th season 🤷🏼‍♂️ I like Aubry but don’t see the point in her coming back yet again, and I’m kinda surprised Ozzy is there.

You sure you didn’t mean Jenna Morasca? Or Kelly Wigglesworth from her original season? Because.. no. I don’t think she won any challenges across both S1 and All-Stars.

D'oh. I was thinking of Kelly Wigglesworth. Which tells you how memorable she is to me :P.
 
Jenna was the “hot” one in S1

She was back, I think for the first all-stars, and was even less memorable

“Jenna Lewis was beyond a fall-on-the-sword. She was a phone call where we said, ‘Look, we want you. We want you from season 1. You're our first call. Will you say yes?’ And it was a yes. And I know you could argue there are other people we could have brought back, but we had Jenna in our sights for a long time, and that was probably the happiest I was, when she said yes.”

I suspect it was really important for them to have someone from Season 1 on the show and she might have been the only option who they knew would agree to be on the show again.
 
Jeff said at the start that 750+ people have played Survivor, and while there would be many who don't want to play again or they don't want back, I'm still surprised that of the 24 now, 21 of them have played with others now in the game before. In the case of Cirie, she has already played with 5 others in this game! And on each of the current tribes, there are people who have played together before as well. Talk about potential for pre-game alliances, and I guess as in the case of Coach and Ozzy, they might have been hoping for a rematch/continuation/redemption, but those seasons were so long ago I wonder who even remembers what their issue was.

Also, I've missed a few seasons, but is this the first time in a long time that the tribes have been pre-picked by the producers? Perhaps they wanted to be sure they were even for the challenges?

And then my only other question is what's with the eyelashes on Cirie and Angelina :rofl: . You'd think people who have seen themselves on tv before might have known to tone it down a bit.
 
I have no recollection at all of like half of the people on this season. I don't remember if I liked them or hated them. :lol:

I am rooting for Cirie and Fireman Joe. I know I like them. :cheer2:
 
Seeing Coach again reminded me of how much I disliked him when he played before. I hope he's an early boot. I don't remember quite a few of these people even though I've watched every season.

I'm also grateful Boston Rob isn't back.

I disliked Coach and Ozzy in the past. I've softened somewhat...and now that Ozzy has Cirie's back, he can stay. lol
 
I've seen every last episode and then some since day one of Survivor, so I know all of these people and their gameplay with pretty quick memory... except Chrissy. She's the one I'm kinda like huh.. remember her but nothing stands out that much. I still remember to this day being a teenager, seeing the All-Stars 1 cast, and questioning why Amber of all people was cast out of all of them. And we know how that went. :lol:

I still cannot believe Jesse Lopez was not in this cast. The single-most glaring omission from the new generation IMO. But with he and his family competing on Mr. Beast stuff, I wonder if that's a reason why.
 
Good start to season. I like that it was 3 hours. I have seen all seasons, but a few people I hardly remember. And I did watch the repeated episodes the last few weeks.
Angelina I had not remembered other than seeing the episode she was in - begging for a jacket.

Interesting who got a lot of attention. Could be winners edit, or ones who are not long for the game.
Q stilll entertaining - but he is so nuts - hope he does not last.
Devens and Christian - like them together so far and hope to continue
Kamila -read somewhere with Kyle gone - that could be very good for her game. I was fine when Kyle won - but she was my first pick. Hope she goes far, does well and win!
Cirie - yes she has been on a lot - but she is fun to watch how she charms
Ozzie has annoyed me - but being aligned with Cirie may redeem him and if he annoys Coach at the same time - double win
Mike White's abs - everyones reaction is so fun
Colby like him, but Stephenie annoys me. Do appreciate that he changed his mind with Rizzo.
Savannah - interesting to fess up right away that she won.
Genevieve and Aubrey's interaction - ha ha. I always like Genevieve and Aubrey, but kind of rooting for Genevieve
Emily - hope she does well
Tiffany - always liked her

I think with so many threats - some of the obvious strongest to win will not get booted before it is too late.

After feeling sad that Olympics were over - having Survivor back with people I know is a nice tonic.
