Solar Eclipse (Indonesia, Malaysia, plus large parts of South-East Asia and Australia)

I am in Ternate, Indonesia right now and saw the eclipse this morning with some eclipse chaser friends. We had 3 minutes and 5 seconds of complete totality under clear skies! It was my first total solar eclipse, and it's like nothing you can imagine! Next August 2017, there's a total one sweeping across the US. If anyone reading this can make it to the line of totality, don't miss it! Partials are definitely not the same.

I was with some astronomers this morning, and we hired a boat to take us to a little island called Tidore, which they predicted would have little to no cloud cover. The amount of equipment they had was huge. The people in this little village poured out to welcome us and take about a bazillion pictures with their cell phones. An amazing experience.
