Too bad about the spin. It’d be a shame if an Olympic spot came down to that.

Excellent from Guba, great performance and clean. Is that Georgian music?
She had ankle surgery some months ago. That’s why she wasn’t at Worlds. Her steps were good but her jumps were underwhelming. Apparently she was injured or is coming off an injury?
Checking protocols now, and Risa Gomez got credit for all her spins.Too bad about the spin. It’d be a shame if an Olympic spot came down to that.
Agreed! I was expecting more emotion/presentation - she mimicks the choreo well and does what she is told, but she doesn’t ’feel the music’ or interpret it to the same level as other top senior skaters. She isn’t winning at the Olympics with quads unless she can show more artistry. I enjoy her technical skating, but it isn’t enough and I am not seeing the growth from Junior.I expected more from Petro based on all the previous hype. Not sure if it was nerves, but the choreo seemed like she was going through the motions or the choreo was just weak. Jump combo was good. Not huge GOE on everything and fair PCS. Judges weren't going all in yet, which is promising.

I'm having a very strong memory watching Risa Gomez four years ago, and that she imploded when she was in a position to earn a spot at the Olympics. A wonderful skate, and lovely performance.
