What is the story behind the new Canadian Team called Nova?
The team won Mozartcup on January (winning f.ex. the world champion Marigold IceUnity FIN).

I saw them at Winterfest! They had an unfortunate fall which affected their lift element and score. I really liked their program though and they have a unique look!

What is the story behind the new Canadian Team called Nova?

I think that Nova is the team with many former nationally competitive ice dancers. I know very little about synchro, but I assume that helps with some elements!

They were a top Open level team for 3 or 4 years before turning Senior. This is their 3rd season as Senior. Their coach never skated synchro or even precision, but has a strong commitment to excellence and rules. My understanding is it's an incredible group of athletes this year who wanted to skate more and push harder!
