I luuurve them and Sara in particular, but he is a much stronger skater in terms of basics (she has progressed tremendously in last few years though)

I think his basics are a bit better but her personality, look, flair, and extension, definitely stronger.

I find both of their programs so bland and uninspired. It's like their team put all their efforts into creating a great RD for SiinKats. Then their music for the RD doesn't add to the choreography and no offence to his fans but Kiril is not a modern dancer so their FD is doomed to obscurity. I think I'll spend the rest of this season rewatching her 2015 Flamenco and her awesome Picasso with Adria.

I'm really liking this program. I just wish the beginning music cut was something else. Sign of the times is really epic sounding and I think it will help sell the program. Love choreography moves to the music.

The RD seems more developed, the FD is a little uneven. Their FD music has a dramatic feel and the first 2/3 of the program are lacking it, the last third matches the music the best. I hope they just keep working and improving, I like this couple.

It just doesn't gel. The music choices don't gel with what they've put on ice. I wonder who's working with them day to day. Hmmm...

nuge - That is, he was always better than her? Otherwise I disagree. I think that as a team Hurtado/Khaliavin are stronger than Monko/Khaliavin were. And this is only the beginning of the season. They made mistakes in the RD twizzles, lost some other levels, and their PCS ceiling was certainly not reached, even looking at their last season Europeans and Olympics scores.

I was so relieved they made it trough the twizzles just fine today... and then had a scare when the twizzle demon attacked Sara in the choreo stsq instead! Luckily it wasn't a very costly mistake. CONGRATS SARA & KIRILL!!!
