Russian figure skating news in 2024

Guys, you have just been saying yourself a few posts back that she is injured as hell and couldn’t train properly - of course she would use at least a dozens of pain killers and some gels.
I totally understand how that FS gossips headline sounds, but maybe use some critical thinking skills?
I somewhat agree with you here. Petrosian has been injured and FSGossips is extremely skilled with clickbait titles. However, you lost me at..

And if it was literally anyone else in the world, we would be reading that she is a smart kid that keeps an eye on her things
That's the point. It's literally not anyone else in the world. Team Tutberidze has brought this level of scrutiny on themselves and have been unapologetic and shown no remorse and no change in their coaching philosophy. Petrosian seems like a lovely person, but Tutberidze and her allies (like TAT) have made it abundantly clear they don't give a shit about what the rest of the world thinks. I'm not going to lose any sleep over sneering at that headline.

Show me a world-class non-Russian skater who takes a small bag of medications literally everywhere she goes.

Amber Glenn? Bradie Tennell? Loena Hendrickx? Wakaba Higuchi? They've sustained a lot of injuries too.

Well?
I not a world class athlete, yet travel with a small bag chock full of medicines, pain cream, and other sundries.

And?

Are you eighteen, fit, and in good health? Petrosian is.

Kamila Valieva was fifteen, fit, and in good health when she was taking fifty-six medications, not counting the one for which she was banned. 💉 💊 :grandpa:
No she is not. She is dealing wirh a horrible injury and puts her body through hell every day

I thought her point was that she carried her bag close so that there would be no chance of tampering/sabotage.
Yes of course that’s what she meant. You never know when an EVILLE skater from a country that hates Mother Russia will be slipping exotic meds into her bag.

But given their history, for an Eteri skater, the less said about medications, the better.

Well, there have been rumors within Russian skating about other skaters attempting to sabotage and do you forget the whole Korean accusations against US skaters for doing similar in the dressing rooms. I suspect it happens more than people realize. If anybody doubts she and Gummenik will be drug tested multiple times in February, they can rest assured that they will be.

How do you know they don't?
I asked someone to show me that they do, since Ka3sha posted this:

The burden here is not to show that they don't but rather that "if it was literally anyone else in the world, we would be reading that she is a smart kid that keeps an eye on her things."

Words!
Words! Words! I'm so sick of words!
I get words all day through;
First from them, now from you! Is that all you blighters can do?
Don't talk of stars toting a bag; If you've got proof,
Show me! Tell me no schemes
Or what you may think. If you've got proof,
Show me!
🤨

Show me.[/MISSOURI]

I don't think that has to be the motivation. Look at what happened to Marsak at the Olympic qualifier. Look at how closely people guard their skates. Not everyone has Arutunian there with his tool kit and leather stash, and I'm sure there are even blades that he can't repair.

What happened to Marsak at the Olympic qualifier?

Honestly, yes I forget, or I missed this one entirely. What accusations?
