And personally I really dislike seeing Medvedeva getting a bye, but yeah.
Not that my opinion would matter here :p
She already got on the national team as a favour from the federation. She withdrew from the nationals last year because of a problem with her boots. If it was anyone else, they would end up in the reserve team, but she got into the main team. So now getting another pass, it is getting a bit unfair.

Hi. So are you guessing that Medvedeva will get a bye or did I miss an official announcement? I realize that she was in a hospital a couple of weeks ago.
Even if Med skates last RC, she'd have not enough points to qualify. So yes, I assume (if ready) she will get a bye.

She was not the only one

And even if she gets a bye this time (we don’t know yet, the Fed still has time to change the qualifying rules because of this nonsense with YKW and injuries), she also obviously won’t be the only one again.

I am not saying she was the only one, but being held up twice, it is getting a bit too much.

For a two time World champion and an Olympic silver medallist, I don’t think it is unfair.
If it was last year’s champion, I wouldn’t say a word, but the last time she was a word champion is in March 2017, which is more than 3.5 years ago. The same way the federation could keep up Tuktamysheva because she was also the world champion, and Zagitova ... soon there will be no need for skaters to try to qualify for the nationals, because most of the ladies will have some medals from the past.

Maybe this was posted and I missed it, but in case anyone else did: I looked up why Victoria Yushchenkova was disqualified, and apparently it's because she competed for Israel on the JGP in the 2019/20 season, and therefore shouldn't have been allowed to compete in a Russian comp. https://www.newsy-today.com/there-i...ad-region-the-federation-did-not-declare-her/
It seems to me that they made a big deal out of nothing. Saying that she shouldn’t have competed because she is not eligible would be quite enough, but making a big articles how her parents did whatever they wanted and all the other things that were said, that felt a bit too much. I wonder whether there is some politicking, or whether her parents annoyed someone who couldn’t miss their chance now and made this huge thing out of nothing...

I'm glad Kostiukovich has found another partner, she was such a cute little powerhouse two years ago. He seems like a good fit for her. They have some sweet highlights, and i'm happy to see she's adjusting to her growth spurt. :)

Balabanova/Sviatchenko in juniors?
Are they still age eligible?

They went for some lutz sbs, which failed completely, double by him, single by her.
