RIP Albert Uderzo, Astérix ans Obélix in mourning par toutatis

I loved the Finnish translations. My sons also. We still have them in our (huge) library. Have to re-read during the BB thing.

I think I saw them in German at first, enjoyed the pictures as a youngster (I especially remember the big battle scenes where they'd show the entire fort with arrows to describe the action and quote bubbles), and then later read English versions. :)

I loved these along with Tin Tin and Lucky Luke. They were very clever and funny. Plus the best names for the characters such as Getafix and Chief Vitalstatistix.

I loved Asterix and Obelix as a kid. Used to hole up in the library of my primary school at lunch time and read the comics.

I liked Tintin, too.
