Don't know how many of you are familiar with the Astérix comic series but it is part of most French kids' childhood for sure.
In this time of confinement, reading this series is a breath of fresh air I can only recommend.

I loved the Finnish translations. My sons also. We still have them in our (huge) library. Have to re-read during the BB thing.

I have happy memories of Asterix, during my time in France.

I think I saw them in German at first, enjoyed the pictures as a youngster (I especially remember the big battle scenes where they'd show the entire fort with arrows to describe the action and quote bubbles), and then later read English versions.

I loved them, and still do. My kid does too, he has been enjoying both the Danish and English translations.

I loved these along with Tin Tin and Lucky Luke. They were very clever and funny. Plus the best names for the characters such as Getafix and Chief Vitalstatistix.

I loved Asterix and Obelix as a kid. Used to hole up in the library of my primary school at lunch time and read the comics.

I liked Tintin, too.
