R.I.P. Margot Kidder/Lois Lane

oh no - way too young yet, though I know she had some struggles. I loved her pre-superman, particularly in a tv show with James Garner called Nichols. Set in 1914 remnants of the old west Nichols returns to his hometown named after his family and is pressed into service as the town sheriff, albeit one who is a gun avoiding pacifist. Margot played a feisty bar maid who could take care of herself.

Here is a picture of her dressed for the part. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0066690/mediaviewer/rm2516929792

Very sad! I read in one report that she may have died from the flu. So many think of the flu as a minor illness and we tend to forget it kills thousands every year. I loved Margot in Superman. Another one gone way too soon ?

She and Christopher Reeve were wonderful together.
RIP

From CNN:
In 2016, Kidder told entertainment website Hey U Guys that her chemistry with Reeve was authentic "because we came from similar backgrounds and he looked like one of my brothers."
"So the energy we had was one of brother and sister, which was often bickering, that took the place of romantic energy," she said. "No one noticed the difference one from the other -- it worked. We didn't have to create a different reality."
