There were over 30 students at this master class. Plushy and Yana came on the ice with the music. Yana skated very well.

Plushy told greeting message and thanked for our support on charity. He spoke and taught in Russian with a Japanese male skater(for hobby) who can both interpret and skate. I think it was easy for him to teach skating briefly.

There were 3 class on this class. For Japanese top novice skaters, for those who can skate with one leg and skate going back, and for those who can only skate forward.

He taught so many elements in only one hour. From elementary step to 2 axel. It was very easy to understand and I thought he's not only great skater but also great coach. At first I was just happy to see him, but his instruction made me motivated and I came to want to improve my skating more and more. I think so many students were on the same situation.

The ending of this class, he said "I want to offer the master class in Japan again. It should be good for you to be with a coach, shouldn't it? See you soon!" I hope he teach his great skating not only for Japan but for all over the world. I want to share this amazing moment with so many people.

At the last, Yana made an idea of promotion for "Snow King in Japan" because Japanese promoter wouldn't believe the attendance.

The interviewer then says that Yuzuru was a big fan of Plushenko since childhood and if it makes him happy to see him do well. Plushy responds: 'Sure, I am very happy. The interviewer asks Plushensko whether he will compete in 2018 at the Olympics. 'Personally, I see myself there. "Art On Ice Zurich 2016 Off To A Flying Start

The premiere of Art On Ice took place at Zurich’s Hallenstadion and all went off to a flying start. As usual it’s a great mix of superb skating talent and world class skating.
We’ll be covering the event in a few posts to give you a better overview but to start with Evgeni Plushenko.

One of the greatest figure skaters of all time Evgeni Plushenko comes in Sofia "Armeec Arena" on 23 April, to bewitch audiences with the Bulgarian show "Kings of the ice."
And to be even more spectacular in the evening, the famous orchestra from Austria "Vienna Strauss Orchestra" has accepted the invitation of Olympic champion and will perform live music for routines.

Besides Plushenko, Brian Joubert, Adelina Sotnikova, Thomas Werner and Philip Kandeloro also confirmed names for the show, and the descendants of Johann Strauss will play on a specially built stage measuring 200 square meters, next to the ice rink.

Over 30 musicians will perform classical music masterpieces and works of violins, violas, flutes, bass, drums and even oboe.

Besides them on the same stage will see the group of award winning and Emmy winner of Eurovision 2008 - Edvin Marton played with legends like Tsukero, Seal and others. Winner and prize "Golden Violin" which gives him the right to play the original "Stradivarius". Similar violin will sound for the first time in "Arena Armeec".

Sofia welcomes the Kings on the ice for the first time in its history, and the interest in the show suggests that this will be the last manifestation of Plushenko and company here.[/URL]

If you had never heard about Russian figure skater Evgeni Plushenko until the start of the 2014 Sochi Olympics then you might be wondering what all the fuss is about. MOSCOW, March 13. /TASS/. Russia’s two-time Olympic Champion Evgeni Plushenko will be operated in Israel in the next few days, rehabilitation will take up to six months, Plushenko’s attending physician Ilya Pekarsky told TASS on Sunday.

On March 11, the Russian titled figure skating star underwent medical examination in Israel following an injury he had received during a training session in Switzerland. "The medical examination revealed serious health problems," Pekarsky said. "He has his neck nerve running to his arm seriously pinched."

Plushenko is saying in Israel. Now we are dealing with organizational issues. I think surgery will be conducted in the next few days," he said. "I hope it will help do completely away with this health problem so that he can get back to skating rink. But the rehabilitation process will take six months."

Pekarsky said he had offered Plushenko two options of treatment, including nonsurgical. "In Evgeni’s situation, treatment can be both surgical and nonsurgical," he said. "I offered him both options and started from the nonsurgical one, if he refrains from jumping and skating. He has been having this problem for a long time already. Apart from that, Plushenko said he doesn’t want band-aid solutions. A probability that injections and physiotherapy treatment will help him is small. It is a temporary measure for a man who wants bigger muscle loading. That is why he has opted for surgery."

Figure skater Evgeni Plushenko made another surgery in Israel over the removal a hernia in the cervical (neck) part of spine. Details about the need for surgery told us Evgeni Plushenko and his Dr. Ilya Pekarski.

Plushenko: "During the medical examination conducted in an Israeli hospital, to me was discovered a hernia between the 6th and 7th cervical vertebrae. Hernia was pressing on a nerve, so almost did not work my the left hand, so I had to go on another operation. 4 days i drop out from my the normal schedule, then gradually i will begin to recover. The doctor immediately warned me that, at least, the next 5 months to me is not be allowed any jump. Everything else - in the training room, on the ice are not forbidden."

Two-time Olympic champion and Olympic medalist explained that he experienced the pain before.

"Because of the pain, I was forced to miss this season. At the shows i performed on the painkillers, while the last shows I barely managed to finish."

Evgeni also added that due to this problems he is forced to to cancel shows in Japan, China, Bulgaria and other countries. It is about 25 performances. His tour athlete plans to resume in the autumn, in September.

"I'm just not physically able to skate in the shows, because at begining I will have to wear a special collar. During this period, when is not allowed me to train in full force, I will continue to put the programs with directors of the Bolshoi Theatre, Sergei Filin and Yuri Posokhov. While there is time, it should be good use. In general, in the coming months, the main task is to recover, that nothing prevente to continue training. Well, I continue to look at the situation. My plans for a participation at the Olympic Games 2018, I do not change, I will continue to work"- said athlete.

The attending physician Ilya Pekarski said that for continuation of Plushenko's sports career this operation was necessary.

"After the examination, in Evgeni was detected a serious problem in the cervical region. There were two options. The first is to try without surgery with painkillers blockade and other procedures, but such treatment would take 2-3 years, and during all this period, Plushenko did not have to stand on skates. Actually, it would mean the end of his sports career. Two or three years is very long the term for an athlete, while for the person who gave to skating all his life, such a scenario was unacceptable. So, listen to me, Zhenya did not even consider this option.

Second option - the operation. That surgery is indicated and necessary, as an experienced specialist, I do not doubted. Because of problems in the cervical, to Zhenya weakened left arm. It is weaker, than to the average person. I graphically demonstrated it to Zhenya and his wife Yana. Even the woman's hand was stronger, because Zhenya felt his fingers badly. And for me - this is the main indication for surgery.

What's next? After surgery, within 6 weeks, Zhenya must to wear a special detachable collar. He can briefly removed it, but to sleep and move around he should always be with the collar, that not happen any recurrence. For 1,5-2 months skater can start swimming, work off-ice. About 3 months later he can go on the ice, skate. And only then, try to do jumps.
