Apparently they had sent an email to her but in the subject line there was nothing about the cancellation, so we went there separately, had a nice dinner together and went to the performing arts center in Mesa. We were directed to the ticket office and were told about the cancellation. We got refunds of course but it was disappointing because i had looked forward to it for so long! I watched Plushy's Carnival on Ice performance on YT, and I was floored. He had a Major surgery recently, and he is already landing triple jumps, and selling the program like he always does! Superhuman!

Russian figure-skating champion Yevgeny Plushenko has been tasked with developing an original curriculum for teaching physical education in Russia, the Education Ministry said Thursday.

"It is important that schoolchildren are enthralled by great coaches and athletes they all know, and that they take up new and interesting sports," Education Minister Dmitry Livanov was quoted as saying by the TASS news agency.

Plushenko, a four-time Olympic medalist, will join the likes of Irina Viner-Usmanova, the president of the country's rhythmic gymnastics federation, among athletes who have developed physical education programs in Russia.

Livanov, who was speaking at a meeting of the presidential council on sports development, did not provide a timeline for the completion of Plushenko's curriculum, nor did he specify when it could come into force.

President Vladimir Putin, who was present at the meeting, announced that Russia would spend 73.9 billion rubles ($1.85 billion) on its national physical education and sports development program between 2016 and 2020 — an amount that will likely support the implementation of new pedagogical programs and the modernization of sporting equipment, state-run news agency RIA Novosti reported.

By 2020, the country hopes that at least 40 percent of the population will regularly engage in physical activity. The figure currently stands at 27.5 percent, Putin was quoted as saying by the Interfax news agency.

Plushenko, who is also a three-time figure-skating world champion, announced his retirement after the Sochi Olympics earlier this year before backtracking on his decision.

While this will be his first time devising an educational curriculum, the 31-year-old has helped students in the U.S. learn the basics of physics, after a U.S. textbook featured his spins and jumps to illustrate rotational movements.

Some details, which was not recorded...
- 35" of video - Plushy jumped (before this moment) an incredible jump over my head - so I asked him to repeat it... In video is not so high jump (as jump before), but enough spectacular!

- One touching story - on 4' you can heard how Plushy says: "Now much better" ... It is in fact a continuation of the story that we had few minutes before. Then I deliberately turned-off camera, approached him and quietly asked him: "Did really does not hurt you anything, I mean - the spine... really?" He told me that the wound has not completely healed (vertebrae), but it is much better than before (with screws) ... and he began to turns and lifted the sweatshirt to show me the scar on his back. I almost screamed: "No, I saw it, I do not want to look it!!"
At that point he turned to me, smiled warmly and widely... suddenly hugged me and said in my ear: "My friend!". He so strongly embraced me, as if he really lacks friends, who will believe him on the word. I returned him hug, and was a very touched at this point - I knew that he did not need words, just a hug. It lasted a few moments, but it seems to me like a real eternity....
Then he started to joke and continued with warmup ... when I turned the camera, the first thing which he said was sentence at the 4 minutes: "Now much better!"

Why not? Cekoni, who shot the videos and told this story really is his friend but very rarely meet each other. So Cekoni is really happy and touched. She is the boss of Plushenko fans. She organizes us, works a lot for Plushy! And she was really curious of Plushy's feelings. For me that story was more touching than funny.

We have altered it a bit, added a lot of tricks - on the ice will be magic. The show will be attended by our famous illusionists Brothers Safronov, recognized as the best in Europe. Will teleportation, I will come and go on the ice. Prepared many decorations, will be larger monitors. Kaya will be Johnny Weir, Gerda - Irina Slutskaya. Tale will last one and a half hours in two acts. The budget is huge, I put my own money, which earned the show and sport. I think it would be fun for kids and adults. I watched a lot of stories and shows, and some did not cause any interest in children. I have a family show. Emphasis on dancing, on a good ride. Ira Slutskaya, Tomas Verner, Johnny Weir, Brian Joubert and others will perform the most complex elements of figure skating. Plus we have flights involved circus. I wanted to do something big, so I was not ashamed to show the world. The premiere will take place on December 5 in Moscow. Then go around the world. But most importantly - will visit the Russian regions. Show the project throughout the country.


- You take on the role and figure skater and choreographer?
- The project involves 220 people, 180 sewed costumes, made incredible 3D decoration. The Chief - choreographer David Avdysh, with whom I have been working for 20 years. Assistant director - Nikita Mikhailov, a former figure skater. His people I will never forget. Apart from them, work on the floor a few choreographers. I'm a skater, my goal - to show a good ride, I play jump 3.5 turns, different stages. More in any fairy tale ever seen. The task - to promote figure skating to more children came out on the ice. Naturally, I was one of the directors tale, but it is nowhere stated will not. This is my first experience. I've never worked with so many professional athletes.
