Closer view of the their costumes. I can't imagine how Guillaume's shirt fits the mood of Gidon Kremer's Oblivion, but whatever makes him happy.

Looks like they've changed their costumers. Gabriella tagged Feeling Mathieu Caron, which produced costumes for a lot of skaters including, ironically, Yura Min's Olympic SD dress.

I believe they've used Mathieu before, just not for the last couple of years. I remember seeing them in his portfolio when I looked through it a year or two ago. It's not loading past the first page right now though so I can't check.

Oh, now it loads. Yeah, he has a picture of their 2015-16 SD costumes on there.

I like a lot of his stuff.

Yeah, that was a necessary comment . He did Kirsten Moore-Towers beautiful FS dress last season, both RD and FD costumes for Lajoie/Lagha this season (which I love), Smart/Diaz's latin SD costumes, Carolina Kostner's gorgeous Ex dress from this summer, etc. I don't just like him because he worked with V/M.

Umm ?? Were you trying to insult her or did you mean everything? Because, seriously, she's gorgeous and everything looks good on her.

Anyways, yes, I liked his work on V/M. Especially the Moulin Rouge deep red dresses (all three versions) and the Prince jumpsuit.

You're the one who needlessly had to make a dig at RoseRed for no apparent reason and then decided to double down and insult Tessa in this thread. Some V/M fans can also be fans of P/C and have every right to post in this thread, especially since they are not making any negative comments at all about P/C and are actually talking about P/C.

I didnt insult anyone. Last time I checked , there were something like freedom of speech. Tessa has a figure like a man, lets face it Thats not my fault that figure skating dresses dont look good on her, especially in last 2 years. I am entitled to my opinion.

This is privately-owned message board so "freedom of speech" doesn't quite apply. However, FSU enjoys having a marketplace of ideas and expression. That said, I bet most P/C fans here would prefer you didn't derail this thread to go in such a negative direction and make it all about Tessa and how she doesn't conform to your standards of beauty. You're the one making this thread be about Tessa while lamenting having to see Tessa (and Scott and their ubers). You're exacerbating the very personal problem that you seem to have.

To change the subject, they're already back in Montreal per Gaby's instagram. I'm very intrigued to see the lift going into the twizzles. They've always had gorgeous twizzles position beautifully highlighting the phrasing of the music so if they add such a difficult entry, should be a treat for the eyes.
I was looking at the field in NHK and France. NHK is the weakest of all the GP in ice dance however France should be amazing with G/P, S/K and P/C. Very interested to see how those teams will fare against each other.

Gabby's dress a complete contrast to the sparkles of last season I always love the simplicity of many of their costumes.I do hope they have a little bit of something for the FD though I like a little bit of glitter/sparkle These maybe not their final costumes anyway.

This is a summary of what they said at the end of the exhibition:

Guillaume thanked the audience for his support. They came so many times to Villard-de-Lans for competitions, trainings and even courses since Gaby and him started skating together. That is why the ice rink reminds them of so many good memories (when they were kids/teenagers, they used to come to Villard for competitions and Guillaume - I guess Gaby as well - used to take benefit from his free time to seat in the bar inside the rink to finish his home work). He concluded by saying they were proud to perform their tango for the very first time at the French Masters.

Gabriella insisted on the fact they have always been very warmly welcomed in Villard-de-Lans, once again in 2018. In addition, she really loves the village and the surrounding landscape which are both really beautiful (she's right, it's definitely beautiful, especially the Vercors plateau). They will be back soon as "the French Grand-Prix will take place next to Villard-de-Lans" she said with a big smile (Villard-de-Lans is only 35kms far from Grenoble). She therefore invited the audience to support the Team France at the end of November in Grenoble.

I wrote "some people ... " Don't make me say what I haven't said, please. I can't help it if almost every time some misrepresenting of what I write happens to me, it is by some V/M fan/uber on usually non V/M related threads.

In this instance though, not only do I not agree with the ridiculous and base attacks on Tessa but I really hate the fan wars which IMO spoil everyone's fun and enjoyment in the discipline. But every one is entitled to its personal opinion on such or such team/skater and free to express it in reasonable and respectuous ways and in the correct place so as to not derail a particular thread.

Personaly overall, I've noticed much more oversensitiveness and interventionism in general on the board (from yourself in particular) re everything V/M by their fans than re P/C by their fans. But you are totally welcome to your differing opinion on the situation of course even if I don't agree with it.

And let's not enter the double standard minefield ... you might not like what comes out of it.

I was enjoying “ blade porn” while on vacation last week hiking in on the audio of their blade sound during Moonlight at the Olympics. Their synchronicity and control is immaculate and i cannot wait to see their material. I hope they’re rejuvenated after a long season last year. Again, i don’t see a team catching them soon.

On the other hand the simplicity of their costumes really shows off their beautiful movement and lines. There is nothing to detract from their essential elegance as skaters.
