Ode to the beautiful game... (Soccer)

EPL

The win over Sunderland puts Man U, for now, on top of the Premier League. I know it is not going to last but I am gonna enjoy it while it lasts!!! :D

Blatter has no shame at all and his backers make WAY to much money because of him to care what the world thinks. So while I hope for a complete purge of FIFA I will only believe it when I see it.

PHEW! Man U won today 2-1 against Wolfburg! :cheer2: Man City also won today so the EPL may just hang on to that 4th CL spot yet.

I guess he'll have to start spending the billions is his special accounts to fund the games.

More allegations of financial irregularities involving Sepp Batter has surfaced.

Although there is no suggestion the money was paid to Blatter, the Mail on Sunday can reveal it was allegedly sought as a reward for Blatter allocating a lucrative ticket contract to a company being run by the executive in question.

In a further twist to the unfolding scandal around football’s world governing body, the MoS can also reveal that one of the men hoping to replace Blatter as FIFA president, FIFA vice-president Chung Moon-jong of South Korea, could be kicked out of the presidential race within days. Chung is believed to be close to suspension from all football activities for alleged misconduct in the bidding process for the 2022 World Cup.

Man U lost 3-0 to Arsenal this weekend. :wuzrobbed

Sorry, Buzz... from an Arsenal fan.

In local soccer news, OKC has a USL team now, and we play our first ever playoff game tonight after a first round bye. They've been a real asset to the community, are marketed well, and have generated quite good attendance, so hopefully they can graduate to MLS one of these days. It would be amazing to see the likes of David Villa and Kaka here even if they are in the latter part of their careers.

Sorry Buzz. I don't particularly enjoy watching either team but it was an interesting match. Real lost to Athletico!!! (yes I know the actual score but to me it's a loss)

On a brighter note Toronto FC won 3-1 but still needs a result against New York next week to clinch a playoff spot.

Wonderful news!!! Hopefully by the end of the year he will be facing criminal charges of his own. :cheer2:

Hopefully it is just the beginning of more serious consequences for all of FIFA's top brass.
