Bank of America Winter Village at Bryant Park will be hosting the annual Tree Lighting Skate-tacular on Friday, December 1st.

This year’s event, narrated by Tony Award winning, Emmy- and Golden Globe-nominated actress, Jane Krakowski (30 Rock, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt), will feature a stellar line up of live performances from Olympic and World Champion skaters including Johnny Weir, Kimmie Meissner, Meryl Davis, Charlie White and Jeff Buttle, followed by ice skating for all.

Today's performance is still there at SkateCam, if you backwind. I'm not sure how long they will keep it. However, there is no sound. At least the lighting is better than the facebook version.

I watched the facebook version. It stopped right in the middle of Buttle's performance, then the link was gone.

I made it up there after all...it was good, it was my first time...more crowded than I thought it would be though.

I took lots of photos (mostly of the skating), but allow some time for me to go through them all and then I'll post a few of the best.

I'm impressed that Johnny has really kept up his skating skills. I'm also really pleased to see how many opportunities Meryl and Charlie continue to get. I would imagine that their participation in Dancing With the Stars significantly boosted their marketability but they seem to pop up all over the place, which is awesome for both them and ice dancing in this country.
