ICYMI, the Meeks were on a local Florida TV morning show before Nationals and wowed their interviewer with their off ice lift near the end of the segment : https://www.fsuniverse.net/forum/th...ugh-tornado-alley.111829/page-13#post-6711214

The 2nd place team have better skating skills (they’re older) at this point; the Meeks really charmed the audience here with their Willy Wonka program. Brandon Frazier was one of coaches with them here.

Looking forward to seeing who wins the gold tomorrow Everyone will get a medal!

I think Tanner/Apter just need a bit more polish. They seem to work together as a pair pretty well.

Tanner/Apter are skating to Tron - their costumes are black with aqua lines & circles on the upper halves. I don't know that I have much of an impression one way or the other about their programs. Fine?

At Novice I just hope for no bloodshed from the pairs. If they actually had a full, expressive program, I’d be shook.

Gariti/Curtis - oh, very pretty costumes - aqua that ombres into royal blue tunic for him, matching dress but with silver crystals in vertical lines down the bodice and dotting her skirt. I get the feeling she's fairly news to pairs - everything is just on the edge of uncertain and seems new.

They are definitely one of those "if they have more time to skate pairs together I think they could go somewhere" type of teams

Kerr/Castelletti - ultramarine blue shirt for him with a sheer back & sheer slashes on the front of the top & sleeves; big throw 2f; her dress is more of a navy blue with heavy gold stones at the top of the sweetheart neckline, crop top, skirt ombres into a bronze color. This music is just a generic pop song, and they skate well to it. They're very polished already and everything was cleanly landed. If they can upgrade to throw triples and a 3tw, they'll contend HARD on the JGP.

The Meeks don't have as much polish, but they are also very good. Nice to have 2 teams like this in the pipeline (hope they stay that way lol).

Meek/Meek - Strictly Ballroom soundtrack - dressed in Spanish costumes, red with black lace for her, black matador jacket with gold appliques, red shirt for him. 2tw - rough; messy SBS 1Lo; fabulous throw 2lo! Lifts are solid for such a young team. Better on their SBS 2f+2t+1a! Really nice throw 2lz! I always worry about mirror teams longterm viability, so I don't want to uber them, but I love them individually, especially Juliet - she could have a future.

120.90 for the Meeks - that's close to the 125 standard for the ISP - they could easily be there by summer.

Goodness, we have some wonderful teams in development. If even half these teams stay together, we'll need more than the max # of JGP spots to get them all int'l assignments!
