Marie Dupayage/Thomas Nabais

Their team Instagram account also shared their 1st place FD (jointly with FF Sport Universitaire's account): https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cnc9ajvoiJN/

"Gold medalists Marie Dupayage and Thomas Nabais from France talk about their win during the Ice Dance, Free Dance competition with Commentator PJ Kwong":

Villard's magic at work.

I waited 12 years to see Villard dancers back at Euros.
I've waited 14 years to see Villard dancers back at Worlds and we might get 2 couples.
It's Christmas. :cheer2:

At the begining of the season, I was like :
My favorite programs of the year :
Marie Dupayage / Thomas Nabais SD
Marie Dupayage / Thomas Nabais FD (well, last year's FD but they didn't show it much and the choreo is terrific)

I want them to remain in the Angers Grand Prix' line up, pretty please. :cheer2:

Now I'm like :
I want them to go to Worlds, pretty please.

Here are their past programs

Seniors
2021-2022 FD, same as this season
2021-2022 RD, a witchy program

Juniors :
2019-2020 FD a very sweet program
2019-2020 RD Singing in the Rain

2018-2019 FD a very french program
2018-2019 RD a tango

2017-2018 FD tango
2017-2018 RD latin

And for the fun side, the ballet on ice free programs they did, along with Demougeot, Le Mercier and all their Villard teammates

Couldn' find a version of last year's program with Marie and Thomas. I know there was at least one on Villard's facebook.
2019 : Carmen
2018 : the good ending of Plato's allegory of the cave ?
2017 in junior ballet : Swan Lake (must have been memorable for the boys as they had to display a mohawk haircut to make them look like birds, lol)

And this choreographic exercise that I find lovely.

@Nmsis, thank you for all the video links. I never tire of this years (last years) FD and cannot wait to see what the future holds.

I said this in the PBP thread but I’m so sad we don’t get a high quality version of their FD. Japan knows how to film skating and it’s so crisp on my TV. Could they just let them come out and skate it before an ice make?

Anyway, I cannot wait to see what they do next season. They should kill at an 80’s RD. I hope they enjoy the rest of their time in Japan.

I hope they save the program for another day. Jason resurrected an exhibition for his short—just hang on to this and bring it back later. In some ways they remind me of Rahkamo and Kokko and I never thought the judges understood how special they were until the end of their amateur career.

They did great. So happy for them. Here are a couple photos with quotes:

Dupayage: "I feel really really happy. We just finished the free dance and it was amazing. So despite the problem in the rhythm dance, we're really happy overall.”

Nabais: “We're beyond happy with how it went today. It's probably our best performance, we felt it today. The crowd was very with us, the support helped us so much get through this program that we loved. It was so good we want to do it again!"

I’d love to see them get a North American assignment in the Grand Prix. You go back and read the comments about them during competition and they are so positive.
