Lukas Britschgi has a documentary coming out about him.

Between glamour, pain and iron discipline, the three-part series "On Thin Ice" documents the career of a boy from the provinces who prevails in figure skating despite setbacks, resistance and prejudices.

The production traces Lukas Britschgi's journey from regional talent to international rising star, showcasing the personal and athletic challenges he overcomes along the way. He breaks with stereotypical gender roles and, as the newly crowned "Swiss Ice Prince," must face new expectations. A documentary series about a great passion on thin ice.

Broadcast: Every Wednesday on January 28, February 4 and February 11, 2026, at 9:00 p.m. on SRF 1

To change subtitles to English, the steps below worked on my computer. (I was not using a phone.)
Click on Settings "cogwheel" at lower right of YouTube screen. Menu will drop "up."
On menu, click on Subtitles (second choice from top).
On next menu, select Auto-translate. From Auto-translate menu, select English.

Approximately halfway through Part 1...he talks about how he and Nicole were long time training partners and how he confides in her and how they also spend a lot of time together...etc., etc. I swear he's practically blushing while he was talking about it. Plus there was a short clip of them chatting and then they hug briefly.

Again, it's probably just the salacious side of me reading way too much into it and making something out of nothing.

As far as I know Nicole has a long time partner that she is living together with (funnily at the last Nebelhorn Trophy our holiday appartment was in the same house were they live )and plans to have children with. She talked about it in a lengthy podcast from September 25th and I looked up their instagrams afterwards. He’s also a (former) winter athlete (I think an alpine skier) that she met at the sports boarding school. She mentioned in the podcast that finally wanting more of a normal life together with less travelling was one of the reasons she retired.
