I am bummed. I know many felt Lu/Mit's lack of connection was a huge issue, but I liked them together. Also liked having a pair team that could jump pretty well.

I hope she never regrets her decision. They were on the verge of challenging for medals at GP events and #1 US status. Due to retirements, sure, but also their success.

That said, pairs is super crazy and dangerous, so it's never totally surprising when a pairs girl retires.

I realize the spec is that Audrey is quitting to attend UCLA full time in the fall but has that been fully confirmed? I don't think it would be feasible for her to attend UCLA and train with TeamTodd&Jenni (unless she has a helicopter to bypass LA traffic from Westwood to Irvine), but I'm holding out a sliver of hope that perhaps she isn't totally done with skating.
